Have a morning newscast that you think has a lot of fun telling the news and does a lot of off-beat things (besides WGN Morning News)? Tell it here.

Not a morning newscast, but the E-Block (entertainment) segment of KUSA's 4:00 at 9News fits this, roughly.

Even though I hate the station I enjoy this segment. I don't know why.

WITI's FOX6 WakeUp News. It's kinda like WGN Morning News, but they don't do skits and they don't have regular actors such as Skip Parker or Wink Winkle.

Yeah. KTLA's Sam Rubin's Entertainment segments sometimes have fun.

Your man-crush on Kirk Montgomery is showing :p

Well, if you mean very very early in the morning... ABC's World News Now has the Morning Papers segment and SKINNY for entertainment/celebrity news. Plus the kicker stories ending the A-blocks are humorous (and are accompanied with clever music matching the storyline).

Ooh ooh ooh! Did I ever tell you that I saw Kirk and Chris Parente at Cherry Creek buying an iMac together once?

No. They seemed to enjoy being recognized, but it didn't look like they wanted to talk to anyone. I had met Kirk before, but I highly doubt he recognized me.

Oh. I once saw WFAA's morning weatherman Greg Fields at my local Kroger. I didn't want to disturb him.
