mre29 1563 Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 I'm surprised no one's posted about this yet. His last day was Friday. Any guesses as to where he'll show up next?
Ntropolis 599 Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 He'll wash up on WGCL I miss him and Linda Stouffer together. They were really good...
mre29 1563 Posted August 1, 2010 Author Posted August 1, 2010 He'll wash up on WGCL From what I've read about that station, it would be an improvement for them.
KRAP-TV 146 Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 He'll wash up on WGCL So funny that you say that, because I seriously think that's where he'll wind up. They could pair him with JaQuitta Williams and have a more "balanced" main anchor team. Atlanta news stations like to have PC anchor line-ups. But beyond that, he'd be an EXCELLENT addition to WGCL.
ABC7 Los Angeles 1 Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Bad news for HLN, Chuck Roberts is great!
KRAP-TV 146 Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Who cares? It's HLN... You obviously cared enough to type a reply (albeit, a worthless one...). You can make an argument about what has become of Headline News, but you can't argue about Chuck's years of service and dedication.
tw-804 194 Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Who cares? It's HLN... At least they beat its sister station CNN in the ratings. Anywho, I didn't know Friday was his last day. As a HLN viewer, I definitely miss him...
swillh2k2 205 Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 Always enjoyed him as an anchor. That's a huge blow to the daytime lineup.
Spring Rubber 716 Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 I'm glad to see Chuck depart from HLN; that network is such a shell of its former self. I can't take it seriously anymore.
gameshowguy2000 1 Posted August 11, 2010 Posted August 11, 2010 I'm glad to see Chuck depart from HLN; that network is such a shell of its former self. I can't take it seriously anymore. I know what you mean...the format change in '01 definitely turned some--if not most--viewers away (viewers like me, for example). But I liked Chuck. I remembered he would anchor the late afternoon-early evening newscasts on weekdays (Don Harrison would anchor early morning to about 11 AM and then Lyn Vaughn would take over from there until like about 2 or 3 PM).
