Hey, that looks familiar: international graphics reuse

We've seen a variety of examples of news music reuse internationally. What about graphics?

 

Novocom looks like it took a 2 and a design style and...recycled it. From the mid-1990s.

Looks like the 2 got changed a bit, but that's pretty much it.

 

Are there any other similar cases you know of where an American station's graphics were used in a slightly modified form internationally? (sorry if this is a list)

It looks like they were really, really trying to make RTL 2 look "Americanized". It didn't work.

Granada TV in Northwestern England used the first-generation Hearst corporate open:

 

 

... It just doesn't sound right without Image News.

 

Also, a variant of the

was used on Hong Kong Cable News in the early 2000s; some colours were swapped around (lime green made its way in somehow). The package is actually listed on Novocom's website under HK Cable instead of Belo, but I thought Belo (or KING) commissioned it... (No YT clips since HK Cable has been trigger-happy.)

Nor does it look right. They needed to cut much more tracking in the Bank Gothic, and the start effects still look bad.
