I'm putting the current KTTV News format up for debate because since I've been watching FOX 11 News on the internet for quite a while, I've noticed the different format they've been using. They do the newscast and reports from the newsroom and they don't even use their news set as much to report the news. I find this format somewhat comparable to the 10PM format used by WPIX.

 

To me, it does'nt seem to be a good fit for FOX 11. But I could be wrong.

This format is being used at many other FOX stations including WFLD, WTTG, WTXF among others.

 

The format you're thinking of is the "interview/discussion" format that Swanson wants most of his O&O's doing.. KTTV seems to be going more for the WPIX or maybe WGN 5PM format..
