It would be nice to identify more of the 'unknown' themes that have surfaced. An often overlooked composer of mid/late '70s themes is Radio Band of America, based out of NYC. In addition to the WHAS 1975 News Theme, I believe they also composed these themes:

 

KCRA 1975 News Theme

WBNS 1977 News Theme

KOVR 1975 News Theme

KMGH 1977 News Theme

 

Also, did anyone see Michael Karp attributed as the composer of the 'Big News Theme' made famous at KELO?
