abric 186 Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 I'm hoping that this is the temporary set because if this is it, i'm not liking it at all. Way too simple. Major downgrade.
News24/7 3 Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Old news, That's their noon time desk in the news room. Later in the show they walk around.
Amra 172 Posted February 22, 2011 Author Posted February 22, 2011 Old news' date=' That's their noon time desk in the news room. Later in the show they walk around.[/quote'] Well my bad if I offended you Sherlock.
abric 186 Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Well I didn't know. I'm glad that is not their permanent news set.
sfomspphl 517 Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Too bad -- it's literally been 10 years this month since they updated the main set, which debuted in 1996. They are desperate for a new one.
News24/7 3 Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 The set was tweaked when they went HD. The single stack of CRT monitors on the right side of the desk were replaced with tripple stack of LCD's and a frosted plexiglass panel. And on the right, some more wood paneling was added as well as LCD screens.
caliwxdude 255 Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Old news' date=' That's their noon time desk in the news room. Later in the show they walk around.[/quote'] This set is used for Early Edition (weekdays and weekends) as well. Looks like most of it was sourced from IKEA, and you could call me unimpressed. I think they've pretty much ended the newsroom walk-and-talk experiment, as last time I saw the noon show (admittedly, a while back), they were at this set for the duration.
bhratbrat 437 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 As a secondary news set, it is workable. The Bay area is more conservative news set wise than most
News24/7 3 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 With this KPIX "set" and KNTV's new digs, KGO and KTVU need to update their studios to keep up with the sleek modern studio trend.
