bhratbrat 423
Good morning. I have heard reports today from the South Florida Sun Sentinel and the Miami Herald that NBC 6 has been sold by NBC Universal/COMCAST to the folks at Time Warner. Spokesman for Time Warner Alex Dudleyr said, "That the purchase of Florida's oldest Television Station will ensure that South Florida has the best coverage in town for all points including sports, weather, traffic, and everything involving South Florida." The purchase price of WTVJ has not been disclosed, but it is rumored to be between $300-$350 million dollars. Time Warner will buy out the Miramar studios and the strategy will have WSCV (Telemundo 51) move out of the studios in Miramar down to NBCU's Spanish headquarters in Hialeah, Florida. The deal is awaiting justice department and FCC approval.
