bmasters1 418 Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Something I'd like to know about "60 Minutes"-- one of its trademarks was that its stories were/still are introduced with backdrops resembling magazine stories on the same subjects. Back in the day, these backdrops looked like flat 2-D representations, but nowadays, they seem to have more depth to them and look more like real opened-up magazines. What I'd like to know is, were the original 2-D representations made from some kind of posterboard and illustrated to achieve the desired effect? Attached is an example of the original from 1986.
Weeters 1981 Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 They were probably done through a graphics system like the Quantel Paintbox.
