jestbiteme 13
Great News main: "You're with 11 Alive," "KSBW 8." Agreed. Alright I know that and I don't care, stop "police"-ing people. It's ticking others off. On with the topic... OKCEyewitnessNews5 0
615 Alive: "11 Alive" Always Worth Your Time: "Always Worth Your Time" (new KPIX slogan, so we've heard) Decade 90: "California 9" Ignitor: "NewsChannel 3, WTKR" (I think) NewsOne: "7 On Your Side" On Your Side: "Channel 2, On Your Side"(?) Right Here, Right Now: "Right Here, Right Now" (former KFMB slogan) Something's Happening Here: "Something's Happening Here" (former WKRN image slogan) Total Coverage: "Coverage You Can Count On" (somewhat former WPXI slogan, they just added "News" to the beginning when they picked up Flagship) GCI Many of their signatures come from the image campaigns that accompanied them. Advantage: "WFSB, Eyewitness News"(?) Catch 5: "You Gotta Catch 5" It's All Right Here: "It's All Right Here on Channel 9" NBC Flagship: "Channel 11 News" Newschannel: "We're Atlanta's Newschannel" On Your Side: "#'s On Your Side" The One and Only: "The One and Only Channel 10" The One for All: "Channel 4's the One for All" So Good to Turn To: "So Good to Turn To" Where it All Happens: "Where it All Happens" The World at Home: "It's All About the World at Home" Edd Kalehoff We're 4 New York: "We're 4 New York" (image campaign) Shelly Palmer Your Eye on Austin: "Your Eye on Austin" (former KEYE slogan) And of course, let's not forget "I Love Chicago, Chicago My Home" for the WBBM Dick Marx theme, PNP, Enforcer, and others. Also, "The Spirit of Texas on 8" for TM's "Spirit" and Arnold's "The Spirit" and "Evolution." About Convergence and "Thirteen Means Local News"... In about 1999, WVEC changed their slogan from "Working for You" to "Thirteen Means News" and when they picked up Convergence in 2001, they changed to to "Thirteen Means Local News." It slowly died into 2002 and they retired it in mid-2003 (traces of it remained in their opens/talent bumpers). On New Year's Eve 2003 (or New Year's Day 2004, whatever you prefer... LOL) they brought back their "Spirit of Hampton Roads" slogan from the late 80s that they used up until 1996. Here's a cap of "Thirteen Means Local News" from 2002... Gari Communications: Advantage: could also be "W-F-S-B, C-B-S 3" & "W-A-F-F 48 News" Stephen Arnold: Convergence: For WVII, it could be "A-B-C 7 News" Counterpoint: could be interchanged with WJBF since they also commissioned the package in 1992 Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/88-news-music-signatures-and-station-slogans/page/2/#findComment-3929 Share on other sites

swillh2k2 203
I'm surprised no one's mentioned the 360 (KLAS news theme) signature--both "Eyewitness News" and "KLAS" work, but "Eyewitness News" would make the most sense since the station doesn't stress its call letters too much. jestbiteme 13
(CBS) Enforcer - "N-B-C-Thir-ty-Con-nect-i-cut News" I really think we should keep this thread out of the hypothetical. I don't know how many people are going to think these "It fits, so why not?" slogan/sig combos are accurate, but someone probably will. I'd like to see the thread continue with some accurate or at least appropriate meanings. Telemundo News Theme: "S-C-V" (WSCV-TV Miami, original client) Call letters mean "The One You Watch/See" (Ese Se Ve) in Spanish Turning Point "U-ni-vision 23" (WLTV-TV Miami, also original client) Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/88-news-music-signatures-and-station-slogans/page/2/#findComment-5244 Share on other sites

southernmedia 0
Here are some slogan/signatures I know for sure, some were already mentioned: 360 by Arnold: Eyewitness News Enforcer by Gari: I Love Chicago, Chicago My Home Newsleader by Arnold: (Back) Home Again in Indiana Convergence by Arnold: Thirteen Means Local News (later changed to The Spirit of Hampton Roads) (maybe) WWL Custom and parts of WWL News: The Spirit of Louisiana Metropolis by Arnold: On Your Side (Metropolis has a 3-note and a 5-note signature, the 5-note version is designed for the opens "On Your Side at 5", the 3-note fits directly with "On Your Side") Elevation by Arnold: You Need to Know (WFTS's slogan for the short time they used Elevation) Alive by 615: 11 Alive AWYT by 615: Always Worth Your Time Battery by 615: K-P-I-X-TV Flashpoint: K-T-L-A-5 News Interceptor: W-C-C-O Heartland: Straight From the Heart NewsOne: 7 On Your Side (KGO's slogan way back when) Seize The Day: (W-S-M-V) Working For You RHRN by 615: Right Here, Right Now Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/88-news-music-signatures-and-station-slogans/page/2/#findComment-5282 Share on other sites
