What I'm about to list is local newscasts debuting in January. What you already know: WPIX 11's new 6:30pm news debuting January 11th. WCVB 5's new 4:30 and 7:00pm news debuting January 11th. WFLA 8's new 8:00pm news on WTTA 38 debuting January 4th. KCRA 3's new 4:00pm news debuting January 25th. WDRB 41's new 11:00pm news, which I learned today that its debuting on January 11th. WFLD 32's new weekend morning newscast that could debut in either late January or early February. And them buying Albittron and Fisher effectively made them the 2nd largest group of ABC affiliates as they have affiliates in larger markets (DC, Seattle, St. Louis, and Portland OR). What next? Sinclair influencing ABC news into leaning more towards the right wing?

That is a great logo. Miles better than the last. The narrow logo and bars in the background got really grating to me, so I'm glad this change happened. This font looks way better suited for the network's politics coverage than the last; but other than "it really didn't age well" and "it got more stale", I don't have a good explanation for that (maybe that's it). And the simple look and that star piece in the middle looks awesome. Great job to the graphics department.

I only saw a post on TVNewser the other day but apparently on the final segment of December 8's broadcast of Nightly News had essentially what was two and a half minute editorial by Tom Brokaw on the comments that Trump made about banning Muslims. I agree with what Tom Brokaw said but I can't remember any time in recent memory where Nightly News did any thing like this.
