  1. I was thinking that too, but usually when the giants in Atlanta retire they try to stay in the market. Monica Kaufman (Pearson)- Jovita Moore. Amanda Davis -Cynne Simpson she had worked at rival station. Brenda Wood I totally seeing TEGNA trying to get Jaquitta Williams who worked at two other stations in the market. I think the current news director at WXIA worked with Williams at WSB. However anything is possible, and WXIA/ with TEGNA plays fast and loose. The Atlanta market, they like familiarity and most of all the talent in that market have either stayed at the same shop or jump around, but for the top 10 market it not like NYC, LA, or Chicago. I don't see that. I see Stephany Fisher anchoring the 5pm &11pm and Cynne at 6 &10PM, but I wouldn't be surprise if FOX 5 move into the 4:00PM real estate with news. There several changes they can continue to make. Russ Spencer been with WAGA for 20 years and FOX is looking at makes cuts too. Ken Rodriguez would be Russ' replacement one day. Ken can move into anchor role, and move Ron Gant off Good Day into evening sports. Tom Haynes move him up to Good Day.

  2. For sure. Paula only plays "devils advocate" when it's convenient for her (i.e. when talking about Trump or any conservative view points). The rest of the time, she's acting ditzy and really brings nothing to the show. At least you know what you're getting with Joy and Whoopi-- as far as their left leaning viewpoints. If you want a smart, likeable journalist, that actually brings something to the table, then they should consider Debra Roberts.

  3. Hey guys, glad you're enjoying the WITI transition clips. I've got more to get to. For those of you playing the YouTube game for many years, you may remember me as "MilwaukeeTVMadman." I got suspended in 2010 or thereabout from a series of terribly executed copyright takedowns. With no recourse, I decided to shelf the entire hobby for years. I recently picked everything back up with a lot of new materials, with more constantly being uncovered. I used to focus on the 1980's, as it was the best-surviving material in my collection. I have now found a trove of beautiful 1990's source tapes, from which you are seeing clips. Most are SLP, some in SP. They all play great with minimal picture issues. It's a real "what you get is what you get" sort of situation when you find tapes. I'm sure everybody knows that. You're not always going to find that 35 minute aircheck at the end of "48 Hours." Sometimes it's a blip - sometimes a few minutes. My philosophy is that every frame counts. I even have a folder full of misfires and "tape potpourri" for parties! I don't have a vanity URL for YouTube yet (dumb 100 subscriber rule!), but I can be easily reached at thetvmadman.com, or @TheTVMadman on twitter. I have a metric ton of WITI promos from the 1970's to the 1990s from studio masters. I have a couple up already ("Your Kind Of People," "The Winners") with more to come as time goes on. I'm trying my best to restrain myself from uploading everything at once. Thanks again for the appreciation for the content. I am reading back on the threads on this board, and it's a gas!! I didn't even see half of this stuff had been posted!

  4. Good God. Paula Faris is the weakest link of the current roster. She tries to play the devil's advocate but she's completely tone-deaf.

  5. "Nex-starr'd" ????? I'm pretty sure that word is offensive to somebody in some group...somewhere. I feel like I should be offended, and maybe if I wait a few days I might get slightly angry and feel bullied. On the other hand, I kinda like the word "Nextard"... and want to use it also...but I'm afraid some idiot will get offended. I guess it's all in the spelling.
