  1. They not only had Michael Strahan do a VO for the 7am open regarding the terrorist bombing in the NYC-area but then also had him at the anchor desk interviewing former NYPD commissioner Ray Kelly. Amy Robach, a real journalist, was sidelined for just about the entire first hour. GMA is a joke.

  2. Meanwhile at WFAA we find the ND taking an aim at middle aged anchors..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sf6sErugyuY

  3. They are also reporting he's suspended until further notice. http://money.cnn.com/2016/10/09/media/billy-bush-nbc-today-show-donald-trump/index.html

  4. CT to NJ, that's going thru New York to go to Jersey. You might as well consolidate News 12 into one mega channel serving the tri-state instead of six separate channels. In their defense, Brooklyn/The Bronx are in one studio and so is Hudson Valley/Westchester.

  5. I wouldn't call his statement an apology. It was more or less a ' sorry (not sorry)...it was years ago' type of statement (much like Trump's) which isn't going to resolve this matter. He going to have to step it up or risk losing his job. We shall see what happens on Monday.

  6. I am just curious as to whether this tape would be released in the first place if Bush was still on Acces Hollywood. Given that AH reported on the tape itself, how could that of worked if the shows anchor was part such a salacious story?

  7. Well, I guess Jan Jeffcoat moving to the morning news, Andrea doing noon news. 5pm Adam/Lesli, 6pm Leon/Lesli, &7pm, Bruce Johnson, 11pm Leon/Adam- Now that's my wishful casting. However, TEGNA probably wouldn't go for it though.

  8. Raycom could probably swallow them whole without any conflicts, but each of their markets has key conflicts that affects Gray (WITN and WCTI/WYDO/WFXI), Heartland (KRCR/KAEF and KNVN/KVSL) and Cordillera (KPAX and NBC Montana's stations) from a straight buyout. WCYB/WEMT would be good for Gray and Raycom could benefit from the New Bern stations.

  9. Isn't Adam Longo currently anchoring the 5 & 11? Because if Leon plans on coming to WUSA to take the 6 and/or 11, what's next for Adam?

  10. I know there's no chance at this happening, but I would love to see WUSA team Andrea Roane and Leon Harris up for the 6 and 11.

  11. As those of you who frequent this forum know, KPHO was one of the users of Rick Krizman's 24 Hour News during its 15 minutes of fame in the mid 90's. The NMSA lists them as using it from an unknown start date until 1998, with a KPHO 1995 unknown from that year until some unknown time after. For several years now it's been assumed that this unknown is a mystery cut of Krizman's theme that the NMSA simply hasn't done anything about yet. I think I've just disproven that, through random listening at NMN. First, we step into the time machine, back to 2014 in the U.S. news music abroad topic: I have to admit, at the time I thought it was suspect too. The instrumentation in the clip referenced is quite Gari-like... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=9GdbOkjEXWE;t=13 ...and the signature doesn't quite work either. 24 Hour News tends to revolve around a 3 note cue, whereas this mystery theme uses more of a 6 or 7 note melody. Fast forward to this morning, and imagine my surprise when I randomly click on the Entertainment theme listed under series 1 of Hometown News on NMN. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? TL;DR: KPHO 1995 must be a Gari library theme of some sort, because it appeared in Hometown News, and the instrumentation matches Gari's work. Even if it isn't a Gari theme, the signature doesn't mesh with everyone's suspicion - Krizman's 24 Hour News - anyway.
