Did WRTV just get new graphics for the open? I saw the 6PM open and it looked blue instead of the generic white/blue/goldish color. Forgot to grab a pic though. Or maybe it's just a election day thing.

Lol I'm glad Billy Bush is without a job but him leaving does nothing to lessen the fact that GMA is awful.

It's a story about the Sheriffs dept wanting new vest, pretty straight forward story that just had to be "jazzed up" by a shaky shot sans tripod. I call it... "Mexican EarthQuake Cam".....the shot just wanders...and wanders.... Oh, and Matt looked just adorable in his friends vest.

This reminds me of that one time many years ago when Cynthia Newsome of KSHB got tazed for a story. That will seem tame compared to if this dude gets shot for a story. It's gonna leave one hell of a bruise.

I'll admit I'm sort-of-curious. Is he doing a live shot from a turf war in Mt. Hope or something? Don't you love the managers who declare "Active! Props! Live shots need more energy!" That worked so well for that station in Greensboro in which the reporter decided to use the handcuffs. The viewers aren't leaving television news because we don't use enough props.

I would honestly say something...but I don't need the FBI at my door later today. Previewing a stand-up...waste of electrons....and count Mendes as one of the crappy 10 latest hires.

The Scripps graphics really do seem like a good fit for 'GBA. They posted a clip of their NBC26 Today talent open on their YouTube channel and it looks great: Between the new graphics and the virtual set they got a few months ago, is it safe to say that Scripps wants to make WGBA a real contender in the Green Bay market?

Stupid decision for Tegna to drop WWL Morning News on Channel 4. Are viewers really going to switch over to WUPL to watch the news? CBS This Morning has come a long way, but WWL Morning news has been king for decades.

A set and graphics change isn't going to move the needle in the ratings. The Green Bay market has a population that is older and its hard to change their habits. When Journal bought the station in the early 2000's they did pour a lot of money into the station but the ratings were still low. Maybe one of the other stations will mess up and then WGBA can grab some viewers? WGBA has low overhead and makes a little money. A company like Scripps isn't going try to compete.

Your biggest flaw is that you make logical sense... I suggest you remedy that ASAP...

Good to see Matt Stark back on the air. Speaking of changes, WHBQ will be adding a 6PM newscast starting next Monday. It marks the first time in almost 21 years that they will be competing directly against the other stations in that time slot.

It's a green screen on some c-stands. They already have the c-stands and I bought a greenscreen off Amazon on Prime Day for $20. The expense is negligible.
