  1. Santo Biasatti anchoring an update for Canal 13's late news, back in 2003: The thing that caught my eye the most was the animated glass background: it looks very futuristic. And here's the music theme, that was used for about a year.

  3. World Tonight with Clive Robertson 1992 - from my tapes. I recorded this as a kid in Sydney. It is classic Clive - famously grumpy and crotchety, with a very, very dry sense of humor, he is even better here than the caricature spoof of him on a sketch comedy show - and yes, he talks about auditioning at another TV station! I also found the themes quite enlightened and classy pieces - worth listening to the long close. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=EKlRgdAzBxA;t=1140

  4. Looking at that now, the poorly-done transitional elements and animation are a dead giveaway of a mock-up compared to the original Linear Drift version.

  5. If the allegations against Tom Brokaw of sexual harassment are true then which Male Alumni from the today show will appear for the 70th anniversary in 2022? Matt Lauer I don't think will be invited, Bryant Gumbel I can't imagine never sexually harassed anyone while at NBC, same for Al Roker so that leaves us with Jim Hartz who was co-host for a very brief period of time and High Downs who will be 100 if he's still alive.

  9. Horrible quality - it's a DX pickup of KCRA from someone in Vancouver. But this is the brief 1989 close to what I think is a 5pm newscast. KCRA didn't run credits or closing music...they'd play a bumper into the copyright chyron. This bumper was around from around 1988 - 90 or so.

  10. No music but some rare WPBN-WTOM material from 1993: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=hNct0v1R5tE;t=452 Plus this volume of commercials starts with an Ed Hopkins-voiced Jeep/Eagle ad: It appears they used the News Leader production track from FirstCom: From later in the 90s, more WPBN, including footage of their equally rare Television by Design graphics and march-like music theme:
