Looks like I’ve identified a VO! Or technically, NW Directions did. WJLA’s VO from 1987 to 1994/5 was named Sheldon Smith.3 points

A bit of a diversion, but Smith is apparently kind of legendary (he got a nice union award some time back)... He also is the voice of political ads for Republicans in all 50 states and Guam and has been doing political ads for 44 years.2 points

Some New M&As. NBC is acquiring Telemundo affiliates in Sacramento & Salt Lake City, owned by Serestar Communications for $21M. Also, Scripps is buying independent station WHDT in Stuart, FL, from Gunter Marksteiner, for $25M. It already owns the NBC station WPTV and operates the Raycom-owned Fox outlet WFLX. No telling what they'll be using the new channel for, once the deal is done.1 point
