  1. Those come from the Vanderbilt TV News Archive. The date/time super on the top is a telltale sign. https://tvnews.vanderbilt.edu/

  5. Going allllll the way back to page one of this thread, WOIO's look has been claimed by Matt Quinn, who also does work with Hothaus (explaining why it's so similar to other Hothaus packages but not an official one). https://mattquinncreative.com/woio-cleveland

  6. Doug Dunbar had a pretty chill delivery when CBS Weekend News was out of Dallas, which was kind of nice to watch. I also liked Demarco Morgan's delivery, I don't know if he was that genuinely excited to do a national newscast, or if he's gunning for a network job. Also, how come the CBS Weekend News didn't get an opener that matched the weekday ones? CBS Overnight News did. It would be a neat idea if they continue it going forward, but it would be unsustainable unless it's limited to a few of the CBS O&Os and maybe some bigger market affiliates.

  7. In other words, KLJB, KMSS and KPEJ will effectively be 100% Nexstar stations as Mission is just a sidecar of Nexstar.

  11. So follow up. Last year, Pluria Marshall filed a lawsuit against Nexstar. Months later, Marshall filed for Chapter 11. Now by a bankruptcy court order, Marshall is going to sell his three stations to Mission Broadcasting.

  13. Was that his normal delivery last weekend? I had to turn it off after five minutes. He sounded out of breath.

  14. KTRK's 9 AM Sunday Morning Movie, circa 1988. I've been curious about that version of "Hooray for Hollywood" for some time, since I do recall it from this as a child and it appears to have been used by sister-station WPVI at about the same time for a movie intro as well.

  15. If that's still an issue then KFOR is going to have to make the time/temp bug small enough to fit in with the Nexstar Political L3rds (either that or do what WGN does and integrate it into the Tribune package)

  16. At least Zap2it is still around. Once that goes away, I'll truly feel it. I kinda use it for my blog sometimes.

  17. Spoiler alert: there isn't a single bank that is going to back/finance a transaction as big as what TEGNA is worth because of the current pandemic that has essentially caused our economy to collapse. Which is why Gray and Apollo dropped their bids. Nobody had to jump through hoops for anything. And yes, it was COVID-19 that ended those talks.
