  1. Because the Network is showing the Grammys. And some stations would use its weekday team to anchor after the awards.

  2. If YouTube found a way to get rid of all copyrighted material at once, you'd be down to pretty much junk.

  5. I'm seeing more and more people upload rare stuff to Archive. What amount money are these companies losing over newscasts that aired once? Even worse since Sloan said the one strike was over a commercial. I'm sure he could reupload all his videos to the Internet Archive as I'm sure he' still has everything he's ever uploaded. I'm not sure if NewsActive3 is on other video sites. Maybe he should start looking elsewhere.

  6. Chris Sloan will be back soon. And I mentioned this before on Discord and here's Sloan's statement. "Working on it. We weren't notified at all about this issue so we were shocked. We are appealing. - Chris Sloan" End of statement.

  7. Pisses me off to no end. I loved Sloan's channel, and I too am worried that NewsActive3's channel might be taken down. I love old school newscasts, promos, theme music, as the next homie. I especially saw some of Denver's content from 1992 (KUSA, KCNC and KWGN). I'll start cussing up a storm if something happens to old school TV news content on YouTube. Moreover, seeing these promos and newscasts again brings back memories, even for me as a kid in the 80s loving newscasts.

  9. The Gayle King connection didn’t hurt but, ultimately, it was CBS outbidding ABC and NBC and being willing to pay the most for the rights to the Harpo-produced special. I’m glad CBS This Morning is gaining some exposure. The better the competition is for GMA and Today, the more each show will fine tune and improve.

  10. I could see her doing "special" interviews for CBS, kind of akin to Barbara Walters Specials over at ABC. Of course, there was that brief period a couple years ago where she was a special contributor for 60 Minutes.

  11. Congrats to CBS This Morning. Oprah is still the queen of American television, I wonder if CBS has other ideas for Winfrey going forward. The Gayle King connection was probably a big reason why CBS was able to get the rights to the special. Prior to this, Winfrey's broadcast home has always been ABC, the home of her syndicated series for many years on the O&Os.

  12. hour long version of NewsNation...That's what I said! I said it before and I'll say it again. How about an hour-long version of NewsNation? Or, even a half-hour version? Air that version on Nexstar-owned FOX, CW and MNTV affiliates that DON'T HAVE a national nightly newscast. It would be like the days of the Independent Network News. Produced by WPIX New York, and distributed to independent stations without a national newscast, even indies owned by Tribune back then.
