  1. The BBC posted earlier tonight on their election live blog about Trump’s interview with NewsNation. Needless to say, the way they described the network is something to say the least.

  3. Well, honestly, I would rather see the Kelly Clarkson move to either WXIA or WAGA, rather than it stay at 1:36am. If it must stay at 1:36am, then it would mean that ratings must've been bad nationally. If I were one of the other stations, I would not hesitate to get her show right away, bc her show, IMO, does NOT belong at 1:36 in the morning.

  4. This is probably one of the best station history documentaries ever. It ranks up there with WFLA's 50th from 2005 as far as comprhensive history and even highlighting when the station struggled in the ratings.

  5. On that subject, apparently the interviewer (Markie Martin) is the sister of Margo Martin, Trump’s Deputy Director of Communications. That relationship was not disclosed. I know I should really stop giving NN undue attention, but when they’re interviewing the former president like this, it’s kind of hard to ignore. FTVLive referred to the network as Fox News Lite, but even Fox News has greater levels of transparency. NewsNation is more like Diet Newsmax with a side of Fredo.

  7. Knowing the way revivals are big these days, I wouldn't be surprised to see Whose Line come back eventually, plus of how cheap it is to produce. Maybe ABC can give it another go alongside its other game shows.

  8. But there IS PROOF that the customized NBC News graphics and animation was used on WALA (now a FOX affiliate)

  9. The account was disabled from posting any more videos. I should have worded it better. Still, very disappointing, but it is what it is. Besides, my life is too busy for VHS digitizing. I expect Christmas uploads to AVTB YouTube will be lower than any other year since I started digitizing 7 yrs. ago. I'll be lucky to finish 10 full tapes, even during winter break for most schools. I'm substitute teaching 3-5 days a week in local elementary schools + working pizza deliveries on weekends for another 12-14 hrs./week added on to subbing.

  10. Considering the network's muddled direction (not quite Fox News, but also CourtTV), this is more just turf protection for their FNC brethren than a political axe to grind. I do take a few things seriously here (especially the whiny timeslot hysterics). This is just more a case of an impatient media divo not understanding the days of his show getting 1 million+ are over and he has to rebuild an audience week by week and month by month with patience. If he wanted instant gratification he should've started a Twitch channel with Mr. Beast or something.

  11. A good rule of thumb that’s worked well for me: If it’s a sensationalist piece from the NY Post/NY Daily News, there’s a 50% chance it’s horsecrap.

  12. Are you talking about Steven Walsh? That guy gets on my nerves (and as someone who speaks with Ntropolis regularly, I can definitely confirm Steven grinds his gears as well). Yesterday on my classic video channel, 31 Rewind (shameless plug: please subscribe, as I have lots of unique content on the way), I uploaded a set of KSAT breaks from 1988. Not even 10 minutes later he had the legal ID up from that video on his channel. It was a late night post too so it makes me wonder if this guy even sleeps. His titles all follow the same formula: “(CALL) id (YEAR)” and have nothing in the description. Not even a credit/courtesy to the original upload. THAT part frustrates me the most - does not take much effort to credit the original uploader if you feel the need to do this, considering that it costs money to source the tapes, buy the right equipment to digitize them, actually digitizing them (a 6 hour tape will probably take, gasp!, 6 hours to digitize) and then time editing and uploading them. People like him and KLMO (I have no shame in calling him out - it’s VERY well known here in the community I despise the guy since the day he ripped off my main channel branding on one of his secondary channels) get on my nerves and frustrate me, but ultimately there’s little I can do. Those two are also THE reason I watermark my videos now. I hate doing it, because it takes away from the purity of the content. But I also don’t regret doing it, as it’s easy now to keep track of where my stuff gets used, and I’ve been surprised to see where some of it has ended up too!

  13. YES! Stealing videos from other accounts should result in a community guidelines strike. Why should I see the same sign-off clip posted on THREE different channels, just with different descriptions or title names?

  14. All the more galling as there are a certain few channels which refuse to credit anyone uploading 100+ videos a day (most of them swiped from ntropolis and RetroOntario and the like) and which attract only the annoying 'channel number/current owner' comment crowd. They've been polluting my algorithm as of late, and it drives me crazy.

  15. Warner Brothers Discovery went on a purge of Looney Tunes content on the Archive last week. Could it have been content from them that led to your channel being removed?

  16. It's easy to root against the bankster here. Standard General will probably just be another low class operation like most of the others. Say what you want about Tegna, but they aren't Nexstar or some of the other notorious names out there.

  17. He had every right to question the network over that Trump. Yet, it's the same network that refused to cover an event right in Chicago and the death of Queen Elizabeth. NewsNation is a joke!

  18. My hunch is that rating are well enough that it becomes permanent even after December.
