  2. They don't officially start their new 3pm show until Monday. Yet they streamed their 3pm show on their streaming channel just now. Makes me think they're "testing out" some things......

  3. Not to solution it here - but they could have leaned into the “3 as a B” thing and done something like this…

  4. Because of this, in the few markets where both groups have stations, Dish customers now don’t have access to Nexstar and Hearst stations, given the provider’s ongoing dispute with Nexstar. (For example, in the Oklahoma City DMA, that means Dish customers don’t have access to programming from two major networks and one mid-major network as Nexstar owns KFOR [NBC] and KAUT [CW], and Hearst owns KOCO [ABC]. God forbid Sinclair and Griffin get into retrans disputes with Dish.)

  5. New scuffle. Hearst stations are blacked out on Dish Network.

  7. Seeing as how WLUC is the absolutely dominant station in the area by a longshot, there's little incentive to change.

  8. I don’t think the morning news is going away when WPHL gets The CW. They have no reason to cancel it.

  9. Changes in my home market, Richmond, VA... WTVR (CBS): I mentioned a while ago that Entertainment Tonight is moving from WWBT to WTVR on Monday (9/11). It will air at 7pm, moving WTVR's newscast up a half-hour to 7:30 replacing Access Hollywood. ET is not the only newsmagazine that's moving to The South's First Television Station. Inside Edition is moving from WWBT, too, but it will air at 1:37am replacing Extra. Plus, I just learned that WTVR used to air ET in the 1980s and early 1990s. WRIC (ABC): The Kelly Clarkson Show moved to WRIC from WWBT earlier this week and it airs at 3:00, replacing Dr. Phil. Dr. Phil, however, is moving to 1:06am - after Nightline - replacing the now-canceled The Rachael Ray Show. WWBT (NBC): NBC12 News First Look at 3, InvestigateTV+ and 12 On Your Side Tonight will debut Monday (9/11) at 3, 3:30 and 7pm respectively. Sister station WUPV (CW) will air the first half-hour of the latter show. That means Tamron Hall will now be the ONLY talk show left on its schedule. Like I said before, The Kelly Clarkson Show left WWBT this month and the then-LIVE with Kelly and Ryan left in 2021. LIVE - now with Kelly & Mark Consuelos - returned to Richmond in 2022 but is currently airing on WRLH FOX Richmond. And speaking of FOX Richmond... WRLH (FOX): Person, Place or Thing will air at 11:30am Monday, replacing a second airing of 25 Words or Less. Young Sheldon will air at 11pm (and continues to air at 11:30 as well), replacing the now-canceled You Bet Your Life with Jay Leno. WRLH-DT2 (TBD/MNTV): No change to their lineup. The Simpsons/Family Guy/double-run of Bob's Burgers block at 6-8pm are still intact. WUPV (CW): Court Cam starts airing at 6:30am Monday (9/11) while 48 Hours will air at 10am, replacing Law & Order: SVU. People Puzzler will air at noon and 12:30pm, replacing Chicago P.D. Equal Justice with Eboni K. Williams and Couples Court will air at 2pm and 2:30pm respectively, replacing Relative Justice. Mathis Court with Judge Mathis and Justice for the People with Judge Milian replace Judge Mathis and The People's Court at 5pm and 6pm respectively. The new 12 On Your Side Tonight will also air on WUPV at 7pm, but it will air the first half-hour. Hey, at least a newscast continues to air on WUPV. Meanwhile, Last Man Standing airs at 7:30pm and 12:30am starting Monday, meaning Black-ish - the show LMS replaced - is leaving syndication after tonight. Oh, and iCrime with Elizabeth Vargas moves from 8am to 11am on Monday the 18th, replacing Chicago Fire. iCrime's old timeslot at 8am will be filled by another airing of Dateline (which also airs at 9am). WRONG! WTKR now airs Tamron Hall at 3pm, replacing Dr. Phil. Last year after The Ellen DeGeneres Show ended, WTKR replaced her show with...Dr. Phil (although his show continued to air on sister station WGNT, its longtime home). I don't know when this happened, but WTKR is currently airing the 7pm half-hour of Scripps News' The Debrief anchored by Del Walters. WAVY, however, currently airs NBC News Daily at 3pm (I'm guessing they moved it from 1pm - now occupied by Kelly Clarkson followed by Sherri at 2pm - earlier this year; correct me if I'm wrong...).

  11. WRONG. There will be a change on WSVN 7 in the 1:00pm hour since Rachael Ray is going off-the-air but I just don't know what WSVN is replacing it with.

  12. Backstory: After NBC terminated its contract to air Miss USA and Miss Universe because of Trump’s infamous comments about Mexicans in his speech announcing his candidacy for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, Reelz carried the 2015 telecast. It was included as part of Fox’s deal to broadcast Miss Universe starting in 2016, but moved back to a cable-exclusive telecast in 2020, when A+E Networks picked up the rights to carry Miss USA on FYI. Miss Teen USA (which will be livestreamed on The CW’s app and website on September 29, the same night as Miss USA) has been off linear TV much longer, having been on streaming exclusively since 2008 and last seen on TV for its 2007 edition on NBC. (NBC was apparently unable to broadcast it in 2008 because of a scheduling conflict with the Summer Olympics.) Given that most of the contestants in that pageant are underage (the age cutoff to be eligible to compete is 19), there are understandable reasons why the Miss Universe Organization has forgone a traditional Miss Teen USA telecast for 15 years.

  14. Let’s continue the daily series with our next stop being in Miami, Florida! Here we go. WPLG: No changes. WSVN: Also no changes. WTVJ: Also no changes (?) WFOR: Dr. Phil being replaced by Hot Bench (which also plays on WBFS), at 3:00pm starting on the 11th. WBFS: (another deep breath) The Balancing Act (at 6:00am) will be replaced by The Liquidator (moving from 4:30am). Funny You Should Ask (at 7:00am) will be expanded to a full hour, with back-to-back episodes. 25 Words or Less will move off the lineup as a result. iCrime (at 8:00am, 8:30am, 2:30pm and 2:30am- wait a minute, 4 RUNS?) will be reduced to 30 minutes as Court Cam takes the 8:30 slot, while the 2:30pm run stays the same. Justice for The People (at 10:00am and 10:30am) will replace Supreme Justice with Judge Karen (which moves to 2:00pm, replacing Relative Justice) and The Verdict with Judge Hatchett (which moves to 11:30am). Cutlers Court (at 1:00pm and 1:30pm) will replace Couples Court with the Cutlers. 48 Hours at 11:30pm will replace third run of The Big Bang Theory (yes, third) and the first run of American Housewife (which moves to 12:30am). The 12:30am to 6:00am schedule will be as follows: American Housewife at 12:30am and 1:00am (was previously at 11:30pm and 12:00am), Family Guy at 1:30am and 2:00am (was previously at 12:30am and 1:00am), Bob’s Burgers at 2:30am (was previously at 1:30am and 2:00am), iCrime at 2:30am, The Drew Barrymore Show at 3:00am and 3:30am, another run of Bob’s Burgers at 4:00am (hold on, the 1:30am run moves to 2:30, and the 2:00am run moves to 4:00? Weird.), The King of Queens at 4:30am (previously at 4:00am), Scene of the Crime at 5:00am, and Top Secret Files: Declassified at 5:30am (replacing Forensic Justice). (Phew, I’m done with that.) WSFL: (yet another deep breath) The Goldbergs (at 11:30am) will be replaced by Last Man Standing (previously at 3:30am). The hour of You Bet Your Life (at 1:00pm and 1:30pm) will be replaced by Equal Justice and We The People with Judge Lauren Lake respectively. The second run of Judge Mathis (first run at 6:00am, second run at 4:00pm) will be replaced by Mathis Court. Black-ish at 6:30pm and 7:00pm will be replaced by Young Sheldon. The 11:00pm to 6:00am schedule will be as follows: Seinfeld at 11:00pm and 11:30pm, Two and a Half Men at 12:00am and 12:30am (replacing Dish Nation, moving to 2:00am, and the 12:30am run stays the same, with Two and a Half Men’s second run previously being at 2:30am), Modern Family at 1:00am and 1:30am, Dish Nation at 2:00am (replacing The Goldbergs), The Goldbergs at 2:30am and 3:00am (replacing second run of Two and a Half Men and Pictionary, moving to..), Pictionary at 3:30am (replacing Last Man Standing, now going to 11:30am), Mom at 4:00am (replacing first run of paid programming), Justice for All with Judge Cristina Perez at 4:30am (replacing second run of paid programming) and 5:00am (replacing first run of Mom), and Person, Place or Thing at 5:30am (replacing second run of Mom).
