Seattle Television and KOMO 4 News are just the same without Chief Weathercaster, Steve Pool. Steve passed away this afternoon, his widow said it was early-onset Alzheimer's Disease. Condolences go out to his wife, his two daughters, and to his extended family at KOMO ABC 4. RIP Steve and Godspeed. Lots of improvement, the reporters teasing their stories adds a lot of authenticity. The lighting on the main anchor is another area to work on - it's faded compared to the high resolution and brightness of the graphics, as well as compared to the quality of the field reports.

I’m watching it right now, and WOAH. You added good graphics, outside reporters, and news EXCLUSIVES? My goodness. I do think that if it’s only an 8pm newscast, you could probably add more newscasts at different times.

Finally switching to the new logo, during a parade, 2 years after network's initial rebrand rollout isn't really a sign of anything.

Let's hope Move Closer to Your World doesn't get yanked off the air. And let's hope those Happy People visuals don't go away either. All in favor of those new ABC O&O graphics for WPVI newscasts. Remember 1996 when all of Philly went apeshit over the symphonic version of MCTYW, which lasted five days on the air? Let's hope there are no riots in the streets when WPVI makes a visual refresh.
