  1. Sometimes we get so locked into what’s perceived as the “normal” way that it can become seen as the “only” way even when it isn’t. Maybe this doesn’t work out for them, and they switch something up. Maybe it does work out long term. The economics aren’t what they once were. Maybe being different and seeing how it plays out is worth the shot when all factors are taken into account.

  3. It feels more jarring to me because WTMJ had Black VOs the last few years like Mia Bankston that worked perfectly for them, so I just don't like the idea of them being replaced by flavorless neutral voices.

  4. That explains why she doesn’t quite sound right. Her American accent is a put on most likely. I hope we keep Brian Lee here in Detroit if the alternative may be that sort of thing. We had Sonny Warner doing a few promos about 15 years ago or so… but she sounded reasonable.

  7. I thought I'd never see the day. WPSD is kicking off June with a real BANG. 18 years with the old look and all HD references are FINALLY GONE. This comes a couple of months after moving into their brand new building. Welcome to 2026, WPSD.
