There never be another broadcaster, a communicator, a local Detroit icon like Bill Bonds. Bill's a legend, a fighter, an institution, and Bonds was The King of Detroit Television News and they called him The King for good reasons because he was, and still is the best to this day. It's two months late, but I've have some sad news to report. Former WPLG weatherman Walter Cronise passed away at his home in Jacksonville on September 20th at the age of 90. Cronise survived by his wife Dorothy, five children, seven grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. As many of you know or many of you don't know; longtime WDBO/WCPX anchorman Ben Aycrigg passed away yesterday of a short illness at the age of 88. Aycrigg was called 'The Walter Cronkite of Central Florida" who deliver the news for more than 35 consecutive years until his retirement in 1996. Funeral service will be private, but a public memorial will be held next week. I have a full newscast on Ben anchor Channel 6 News at Noon with Charna Davis-Wiese from June 22, 1995 and I'll upload it on my YT channel tomorrow or this weekend. Newscasts expansion is coming to Baltimore. WBAL NBC 11 has expanded its 10PM newscasts to weekends on TV11 subchannel 11.2 (MeTV), but it is still to be a half hour newscasts. And FOX 45 WBFF is adding a 4:00PM newscast beginning January 12th. It will go head-to-head with WJZ 13 with its 4PM newscasts, we don't know if WBFF's 4PM news will be a half hour or a full hour. http://changingnewscasts.wordpress.com/

I said it before and I'll say it again, TXCN needs to be revamp with new anchors/reporters, meteorologists and sports anchors.

I've asked KDBC CBS 4's Shelton Dodson exclusively to TVNT via Facebook and asked if there going to adding newscasts on KDBC in the near future, and Tonight I have his response. "We are starting October 16th with a 5:30 and 10pm newscast, plus a full slate of a weekend newscast too. More weekday newscasts will be added in the very near future. Also, you can forget everything you remember about the old KDBC. CBS 4 News is going to look COMPLETELY different. Keep in touch and give us some feedback.
