I grew up watching The ED Show since his debut, but I'm heartbroken that its going bye-bye.

Sad news out of New Orleans, former longtime WWL Meteorologist Don Westbrook passed away after a brief illness on Monday. Westbrook whose destinctive voice both WWL-TV weather forecasts and commercials for the TV station and various clients during his 39-year career, Westbrook retired from WWL in 1999. Don Westbrook survived by his daughters, Diane and Laura; a brother; and two grandchildren. I'm sure if you grew up in the Buffalo, NY area; you properly remember Van Miller. The legendary voice of the Buffalo Bills and longtime Sports Director at CBS station WIVB died yesterday evening. Van was the play-by-play voice of the Bills for 37 years and worked at WIVB (then WBEN) for 43 remarkable years before retiring in 1998. Van survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Gloria, daughter Cathy, and son Van Jr. and three grandchildren. TVNewsTalk would like to take this time to offer our sincere condolences and prayers to Van Miller's family and to our friends and colleagues at WIVB News 4. Van Miller was 87. Why can't CBS sell WWJ/WKBD to another broadcast group? That's the one question everyone's want to know. But, in my opinion; I would wish to see CBS return to WJBK, however 'JBK is stuck like glue with FOX. But I was thinking maybe; just maybe CBS could work on either WPXD 31 or on WADL 38. My two cents.

Sad news out of Santa Barbara today, former KEYT anchor Debby Davison died yesterday after a long battle with breast cancer. Davison worked in Florida and Tucson, AZ then moved to KTLA in Los Angeles where she anchored the News at Ten with the late Hal Fishman from 1980 to 1986. Then she moved to Santa Barbara from KEYT NewsChannel 3 then known as KEY News 3 where Debby anchored from 1990 to her retirement in 2006. Davidon survived by her husband and two sons.
