Well, just so this is out there and there's no speculation: Two weeks from today will be my last day at the DAV Thrift Store. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to grow and learn there, and work with some amazing people. I'm especially grateful for the opportunities that Nadine and the store provided for me to grow and learn in this field and for taking a chance on me as a manager. I will forever be thankful for the opportunities I've had at the store over the past year and a half....

So, another minor settling adjustment came up. After I dropped off the new name badges at work, my Check Engine light came back on. I did the little diagnostic thing, and it indicated that it had detected a misfire in cylinder #5. So, we took off the coil pack, and tested it, and everything was fine. Now - leading up to this - there had been a loud, almost metallic knocking sound in the back area of the engine. In addition, as mentioned before, my radio had considerable sound interferenc...

So I learned a cool trick about my car. While yes, I can take it to a shop and they can run a computer diagnostic to find out why the check engine light is on and what not, it turns out, and I have a feeling more cars are like this than we know...my Jeep can actually give me the same readings on the odometer display. I have to insert the key, and turn it fully to the 'On' position without starting it, and turn it all the way off, 3 times rapidly - and stop on the 3rd time - and then on the...
