You know those days at work where you *really* feel like you're making a difference and that you're really appreciated? Yea, today was one of those days. :)

How narrow are our minds that they cannot perceive even the simplest of things around them. Is it truly a narrowness that blocks our minds from understanding our world, and the things in it? Or is it by design that we just are not allowed to understand more than we can perceive? Or is it by choice, that we choose to perceive only that which our mind seeks to perceive and understand?

AT 201 AM CDT...A SEVERE SQUALL LINE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING TORNADOES THAT MAY NOT BE VISIBLE DUE TO HEAVY RAIN WAS LOCATED NEAR CARL JUNCTION...AND MOVING NORTHEAST AT 55 MPH. For the past 7 days I've been monitoring data from the Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma in regards to our weather today. That's how long ago computer models began hinting at a severe potential. For the past 5 days, we've known that there was growing confidence in a severe weather outbreak occurring today into tonight. Okay, so, suddenly, I've become addicted to Dr. Pepper and Coca-Cola slushees from Kum & Go. I don't know why, but since they offer them in 52oz size, you better believe I'm having all 52oz in about 30 seconds.

From the City of Joplin: Indiana from 44th to 50th Street is presently closed to thru traffic. Local traffic will be shifted to one lane starting Tuesday, April 16 at 7:30 a.m. until Thursday, May 16 at 6:00 p.m. Traffic will be shifted from the old Indiana on the east to the new Indiana on the west. Drivers are urged to use extreme caution in these areas and may want to utilize alternate routes during this period.

Well, I've got a pretty fair headache, but, the good news is, I finished writing my 'Cashier Operations' manual. 8 sections and a handful of pages later, I believe it is very detailed. Now, I'm actually excited for Tuesday to get here because when I go into work Tuesday morning, I get to present it to my awesome boss. I hope she likes it and I hope it turns out well!

Okay, I know there's the plant over by my apartment that makes the occasional 'kaboom' but since I got home - in the last 5 minutes that thing has gone off rapid fire like fireworks and it's shaking the house. Did the terrorists win or what here?

I saw her today at the reception, a glass of wine in her hand. I knew she was gonna meet her connection. At her feet was a footloose man. You can't always get what you want...but if you try sometimes, you get what you need.

Well friends, after a pretty good day at work, I rounded it off with a nice simple evening out with my friend Alisha. All in all, a pretty good Friday. As for everything else, I'm off to bed. Peace!

Cause when it all boils down at the end of the day it's what you do and say that makes you who you are, makes you think about, think about it doesn't it. Sometimes all it takes is one voice.

Had a great time with the lil' sis Laura playing some old school Super Nintendo. We rocked Super Mario World, Super Mario 3, Goof Troop, and Super Mario Kart. It was like being 10 all over again. Great end to a great night.
