Another to add... LoConte Goldman. Work includes the original Hearst package in 1995 and WTKR's 1994 "TV-3 News" look.

LoConte Goldman's website used to be great but I can't remember the address anymore so I can't find it on archive.org

Also I see on Linda Kane's site that she has some early pitches for the WBZ 2000-era graphics. Given that those were done by Viewpoint Studios (which is still around) I have to assume she was a contract employee for them at the time.

Have they reported the name yet? When they don't report the name, that usually means it is someone from the group we suspected. (Allahu Akbar!)

How's that tinfoil hat working out for you?

  3. Not to turn it into one of those threads but KNXV has uploaded a billboard with the new look. It seems like the only animation on the entire thing is the logo outline fading in in the background. It's just... weird.

Noticed something last night during the 6PM Newscast.  Andrew Brill from ESPN Radio New York- Host of ESPN New York Tonight covered for Sam Ryan. His story is very interesting. I'm probably 24 1/2 months late with this.  However, good to see a face from ESPN Radio on WABCTV.

Andrew's been with WFSB for the last year or so.

  5. To me it looks like CBS News lost the lead graphics guy or firm that they used for the last few years. Both this and the current "This Morning" graphics are a huge step back both stylistically and in complexity. They remind me a lot of the chunky, small market looks the network had in the pre-Scott Pelley era.
