  1. During the 1994-5 affiliation switch in Phoenix, all of the four networks changed stations -- except NBC, which stayed on KPNX. Promos on KPNX emphasized the station's long-term connection to the network:

The switch left KTVK without a network, KTVK became an independent and began to heavily promote its newly-forged relationship with CNN:

Returning to KPNX, this promo features Willard Scott with Sean McLaughlin, then a meteorologist at KPNX, now an anchor at KPHO/KTVK:

As a footnote, when the hit television show “The Streets of San Francisco” was filmed in the Bay Area in the 70s, one of the stars — Michael Douglas — watched Bohrman on KPIX. Douglas later cast Bohrman in his movie called The China Syndrome”. Bohrman played a television news anchor.

Here's a tribute to Bohrman (sorry for my earlier misspelling of his name) aired on KPIX in 2018:

  4. A sales presentation produced shortly after the launch of CNN2 (later Headline News, now HLN), urging local TV station managers to subscribe to the service, both in the form of simulcasts at certain hours of the day and as a source of national/international stories for the local newscasts (a service that evolved into CNN Newsource):
