WKRC names Paula Toti and Kyle Inskeep main anchors.

Bewildering. Apparently all the data pointed in this direction...but still....bewildering.
I'm a complete outsider to the moves in this market. But I do wonder why this move is bewildering, if you don't mind elaborating please...

Doubtful. The morning show has been particularly vocal about this, Frank Buckley and others on the station have repeatedly referred to them as the “Cheating Astros” while reading copy of the story.
I mean, if the glove fits...

I finished the annual rewatch of Today's 9/11/01 coverage yesterday. That Katie and Matt were kept on air from 7 am - 12 pm is a testament to how respected they were as a duo who could juggle the fun parts of the program, but were also absolute pros at breaking news. Tom Brokaw joined them after about 1.5 hours and instead of letting him take over, Katie and Matt remained front and center. Especially when you consider that ABC and CBS cut away from their morning show teams within the first hour and their flagship anchors took over (Peter Jennings, Dan Rather). I've read before that Today was watched by 40 million Americans at the height of the attack coverage, not that that's anything to necessarily brag about.
I'm not entirely sure if it's because the duo anchored during the coming of the technology age, but Katie and Matt might be the best team in Today's history. Additionally, YouTube is full of some really great world and national history network news coverage. I encourage everyone to check some of it out. I was in second grade during 9/11/01 and while I remember the day itself, I was too young to remember the context of the news other than the images. Haunting yet fascinating stuff.
You were in 2nd grade on 9/11? Wow, am I getting old. It was my first day of college...

Well, that didn't take long to find a new anchor.
Well, that's kind of surprising...

Thomas Roberts has left WGCL CBS 46 in Atlanta after less than 14 months.
Pardon my french, but CBS 46 will never get their shit together.

Page Six reporting that Keke Palmer is very close to going full-time on "Strahan & Sara".... I'm guessing another title change is underway...

They could call it "The Crew" (seeing as how it replaced "The Chew").

No and no.

I really like both Anthony Mason and Tony Dokoupil - individually. I have high hopes for the new team, if the rumors are true.

Dan Abrams or Dan Harris? Cause I love them both.
Me, too! But I meant Dan Harris.
-
Jumping on the bandwagon - I do not care at all for the 3 anchor format on weekends. Dan Abrams is all the man I need...

Rick Folbaum has apparently left WFOR in Miami after 4 years from Fox News. So Elliott Rodriguez has took his place alongside Rudabeh Shahbazi on the 5, 6, 7 and 11 pm newscasts.
Sounds like Rick has moved to Atlanta...

She has already admitted to pushing the girl,,, She is on video...and she is a juvenile .
Slap on the wrist.
FWIW the networks do not provide lawyers...you have to arrange for your own lawyer if you want one next to you while Michael Strahan interviews you. The very last thing a booking producer wants to hear from you is "I need to talk to a lawyer first"...(full stop)!
It is unethical for a lawyer to 'cold call" or "ambulance chase" after a potential client.
YOU have to make contact with the lawyer first....they don't just show up unannounced or else they get in big doo-doo with the state bar and can be fined, dis-barred or suspended.
Happy National Bacon Day
I just love that you ended your post with "Happy National Bacon Day"
That gave me the lolz - thanks :-)

Why in God's name are you watching, then? Like really, some of you all love complaining about GMA, and yet still consciously press the buttons on your remote to tune it in.
It's hard to take seriously the guy who has such a wretched program's logo as his avatar.
Honestly, I think it's best not to ask why people continue to watch things they no longer like. Habits are hard to break, especially when it comes to TV programming. I'm sure you've had a TV show (news, drama, sitcom, etc) that you watched that you really liked that progressively got worse, but you kept watching in hopes that things would improve. I say let people watch and vent. It's cathartic.

At WGCL/CBS46 Anchor Ben Swann been suspended after he tries revive his Reality Check series online......
Surely there's a Sinclair station that will snatch him right up. Or FOXnews...
-
Speaking of Doerr, could CBS46 become 46 Action News?
Not in this lifetime! Not with Channel 2 Action News dominating the market.

Also, I have noticed this week his read has been a lot more monotone, at least compared to when he was anchoring the weekend editions of CBSEN. He doesn't feel as animated or engaged this time around.
My goodness, I thought it was just me. I watched one broadcast and was blown away by how boring it was. It was incredibly awkward to watch...

This will be the only female duo anchoring team in Atlanta news right now if I'm not mistaken. That's a nice, refreshing change from the usual male/female pairing were used to always seeing.
The last female morning team I can recall is Jill Becker and Karyn Greer on 11Alive.
I DM'd Scott Jones of FTVLive on Twitter about his rather nonsensical assertion that this pairing would be awkward. I haven't heard back from him, nor has he changed his story. I'd be surprised if he does respond in any way...

So... where is Thomas Roberts? Has he officially been axed from NBC/MSNBC? If so, that is very disappointing news. I thought they had big plans for him at one point...
-
Wow, that's a real newscast? Looks like a parody...
they've also launched something similar at WXIA called "The late feed"- 3

Just a couple of more for the heck of it... WCTV top and KTXL below.
Pretty sure WCTV had that (with a few changes) for a couple of decades lol.

I haven't watched the show in some time now, but from what I'm hearing from you all, I may need to DVR it. I know a lot of people disagree with me, but I enjoyed the show most during the one season Rosie O was the moderator. It was appointment TV for me that year. I don't particularly enjoy Whoopi as the moderator, although she has gotten better over the years. I think Joy would be a fantastic choice to replace Whoopi if and when she decides to leave.

More changes at KMGH Denver 7. First meteorologist Matt Makens leaves, then main anchor Eric Kahnert leaves. Now, weekday morning anchor Kellie Patterson has moved to weekend mornings. She confirmed this in a tweet (sorry I don't have a screen shot). My guess is that either Nicole Brady (who joined in February) or Dayle Cedars is in line for the weekday gig...

They should have at least broadcast from a booth or a suite. The background noise was very distracting.
-
It's weird, because I didn't think his departure would have that much of an impact. But now that he's back, I want him to stay. He's perfect for this show.

Anyone else find it a little ironic that this thread is called "Out and About," but we're not supposed to be out and about with this whole coronavirus situation?
