Lori Stokes' father, Louis Stokes passed away last night. May he rest in peace.

The new website is very "tablet" like, even on the desktop version. I like it, it is an improvement.

I haven't watched the morning show it idk how long but is Dr. Steve still with the station?

I agree it connects all platforms online but "7online" has been around for years and makes just as much sense abc7 ny

Completely unrelated to the above, I heard Joe Nolan on the radio this morning... but on CBS-FM 101.1! I thought he retired a year ago?

It was Bill Sandra and Lee at 5pm.. In the words of Lee Goldberg it was like the year 2000.. They anchored weekend evenings correct?

Can everyone stop being so sensitive? It's a TV schedule. Isn't there better things to get upset about?

She wrote on Facebook herself she's doing a reduced schedule.. Prob only w few days each week

As for Diana, seems like she will be out for the foreseeable future. She is living in an Maryland apartment provided to her and her husband by Walter Reed Medical Center which arranges housing for caregivers of wounded warriors.

She definitely will be out for sometime to come. Prayers for her entire family as they have definetly be tested these past few months. Prayers for the Stokes family as well.

The reason Lori is out is her father is very sick. He has been diagnosed with Lung and Brain cancer.

She might be out but David is on vacation and Diana is still out so she could possibly be doing evenings again

Erika anchored solo this morning. Surprised that they didn't bring in Nicole, Natasha, or even Pat to help out!

 

Erika also anchored at noon with Pat today.

 

The morning show was anchored solo? Wow. WCBS is in better shape than you guys but they are also in serious need of talent. I honsetly cant think of one reporter they have that could be promoted to anchor or even fill in. And honestly the best team they have is Alice Gainer and Dick Brennan on WLNY (which not everyone gets). I think they should be put on WCBS at 5 or 6.

I know this has been said before but I wish Michelle would get more time filling in on the weekdays.. Last week they had Rob Nelson on at 5 for a few days and Sandra Bookman on at 4 most of the week. Personally, while I know it wont happen I would like to see Rob and Michelle get the 4:00 show at some point. Rob was great at 5 as is Joe Torres, the rotation should be between Michelle, Rob and Joe until Diana gets back. They can use them else where as well because Liz is likely out the rest of the week and I'm sure the others will be on vacation at some point.

I guess lori is taking A LONG TIME OFF and Shirleen is on this AM

A long time? She was doing nights the past few weeks. Now she's on vacation I guess

 

Interesting thought process...This morning while watching the Today Show I noticed some nifty lower thirds during an awkward segment about using everyday items to remove stains and crap. We all know Today updated opening graphics a bit ago, and I've been waiting for a change on the rest of the package since. They would of course have to re-work the logo bug and headline ticker...they could change the yellow to orange with white text or white with orange text since they seem to be going towards a white, yellow and orange theme. Opinions?

 

My opinion? Beer is for drinking. Not removing stains. :awesome:

Tonight is Anthony DiLorenzo and Narmeen Chodury anchoring.. They're not bad.. Should be a consideration for one of the early evening shows

Chris Knowles is in tonight. He should replace G.. So much better

Is Lori on evenings again this week or is she back on the normal shift?

 

Chances are, people who have come to watch World News Tonight followed by Jeopardy for decades are not going to turn the channel just to watch the lottery drawing, then go back.

 

Does this mean the lottery numbers won't be shown on Action News anymore, or is that "general information" once the drawing happens?

 

I believe its general information once they are drawn. I know here in NY they all run the winning numbers on the crawl in the morning and pretty sure they all post them online
