Neat find! I forgot WTHR had that news open at some point. It looks like that's about 3 (or 4?) TVbD opens that they've used.

What news theme is that? It sounds different than their 1987 theme and it doesn't sound like Spirit (of Texas).

This is one of the last news broadcasts of WXFL before channel 8 switched back to WFLA on New Year's 1989. The KDLH recording had a date of October 1985 written on it. Plus the dealership commercials were of 1985/1986 vehicles. EDIT: It's from October 1986. I checked the tape again.

D'oh my mistake! The "Proud N" logo WAS the one with the peacock. I was referring to the peacock-less N in the beginning of the video with the uneven 48 logo that way outdated by 1986. Heck, WAFF itself looked a bit 70s-ish in 1986.

Wow! WAFF is a bit behind using the "Proud N" NBC logo all the way to 1986.
