Here's a news open of the newest newscast in Tampa Bay. Unlike the other newscasts, this one is a weekly newscast that airs every Sunday at 7PM. WTTA Great 38 News Now Open (8/31/14):

This seems like a knockoff of WISH-TV's graphics from the Early 90's.

I think the new logo is an improvement. I still don't like how they still have that red arrow. It never did fit in with the rest of the logo.

I went to a garage sale earlier today and bought a VHS tape that really surprised me. I found a sign off from WNBC that aired in 1985. I am going to upload it to YouTube later today.

I went to a thrift store today and I bought 3 VHS tapes that had promos, IDs, etc from WCPX, WFTV, WTSP (ABC era), WFTS (FOX era), and WWWB. Among the tapes was most of the 11PM news from June 17, 1990 on WFTV. I will upload that on YouTube tomorrow.

How long did KTVK use that Circle 3 logo? It really reminds me of KIII's logo. I wonder if KIII got their 3 logo from KTVK.

That's probably the main reason. I think another reason, at least during the winter time, is the snowbirds that come down. Hopefully one day I'll find a Canadian station at these garage sales since a lot of snowbirds come from Ontario. It's a very low chance but i shouldn't say impossible.

Wow. That's a rare find. I think I've only seen two videos on YouTube from the WPDS days of channel 59 (The newscast and the sign-on). I hope more will be uploaded.
