I wish they'd learn how to turn the caps lock key off.
They're not using Gotham like they used to.

That runs entirely contrary to the core point of the restructuring, to merge CBS News into the O&Os. Plus WCBS-TV and CBS News have been tied at the hip since the days of Jim Freaking Jensen.
The easiest explanation here is that WCBS management utterly and royally botched the rebrand. There is no excuse to keep any references to CBS 2 if the station outside of newscasts rebranded to “CBS New York” anyway. For the network flagship, this is just downright embarrassing.
Wouldn’t be surprised if CBS gave KDKA the option to change the color palette to see if it could even be possible (and potentially incentivizing the graphics package as customizable to affiliates). And that’s pretty much it. In a few months, “KDKA-TV News” will be retired in favor of “CBS News Pittsburgh” (which is what it already is referred to in a visual sense).
Which why KD didn't go with the streaming branding for their OTA broadcasts like their fellow station since the Westinghouse days, KYW, did.

Based on a photo further up, we have CBS Philadelphia for KYW
They need the KPIX/KCAL/WWJ GFX badly.

Lol "WQCA"
Did they mean KQCA "My58", a Hearst owned myNet station?

KSKN. the CW in Spokane owned by Tegna, is listed as carrying it. Is that a mistake?
Not owned by NexSTAR or Paramount, guess they're airing it.

First look at what I'm guessing will be the new graphics/theme via a promo:
linearDRIFT at it again. And that sounds like a Arnold/NONSTOP Collab for their new theme...

I've just saw a promo for LIV on WPHL, seems like it'll air on 17 and NOT 57. (I smell affiliation swap...)

So it turns out that Steve announced he's going to WJZ in Baltimore, working weekends:
Now he's going to their cross-neighborhood rival's (KYW's 5.5 blocks from 'CAU, BTW) sister station in the Charm City...

KEYE (42) deserves better than this. IMO, they should've stayed a CBS O&O station in the first place.
And have the upcoming O&O GFX. I agree.

When KYW dropped EWN in '91, they were NewsDay (Morning), NewsBeat (Noon, 6pm), and The News Tonight (11pm) from 91-94 and then they were KYW News 3 from 94-98 and 3 brought back EWN in '98 and it stuck.
That rebrand made me make the switch to 3. Still a fan since '91.

I wish KXAS (NBC 5) had a set like this.
Since 5 and 36 used to be sister stations during the LIN era...
Makes sense that an O&O like 'XAS should have the same sets as their (now) stepsister station ('XAN) cross State...

Update: they weren't able to find Reel #1, but they were able to send the other two reels for conservation treatment and digitization:
Half of the synth cuts was used by WTHR in Indy during the mid to late 70s as their station ID (That was during their ABC era and the start of their NBC era; oh yeah, WBRC used some of this theme...)

That part! They might as well call the 10pm news The Mike Rodgers Show. He kept popping up with the most annoying updates; we don’t need to know every time a tree topples over in LA. At a minimum they should have a breaking news anchor. This guy Mike doesn’t appear to be a trained broadcaster nor educated as a journalist; his grammar was the worst. To someone’s point above, this is LA, not Podunck, Iowa.
The LATE NEWS with Mike Rodgers on KCAL NEWS LOS ANGELES would be a good naming fit.

Another Louisiana station that had “NightWatch” in the name is WWL4 in NOLA. (They may need to use that name for the 10p newscast again)

I'm sure getting Aaron back on the air at WRC was part of it (he's much more recognizable locally than Vicky Nguyen), but the promos are basically saying they're starting with the "News that Matters from around the world" at 3 leading to the "News that Matters on your street" at 4 (I don't recall if they actually used "News that Matters", but that's the general gist) - I'm surprised they're not promoting the non-stop news lineup from 3 until 7:30 (yet...)
'RC having their newscasts at 4,5 and STILL with their 3 decade run of their 6p "Full Story In A Full Hour" newscasts and NIGHTLY at 7p...

Looks like the Eyewitness News name is staying, and it looks pretty good in the CBS font.
I hope it stays. Let's not have them repeat what they did in 1991 (although their '91 rebranding made me a fan of the station ironically; TT Norms would look good on the EWN name)

3 just announced that mid-morning newscast that’s gonna be on after MORNINGS at 9A, except it’s not gonna have the “CBS NEWS PHILADELPHIA” title; it’s STILL gonna be having the EWN name. (Thank Zeus)

The YouTube channel “Mike” has posted a video of what seems to be the the new CBS O&O graphics. Largely mirrors the CBS News Streaming look.
That could easily be used on some non-O&Os. (especially WDJT in Milwaukee/Green Bay; as they're the only Weigel owned station to use the current O&O GFX)

Probably fonts that their stations' O&O siblings would use.
