WUAB TV turned 50 this year so what do you to celebrate? Bring back the original 10 Clock news to anchor the news. Minus the late Gib Shanley.
Enjoy the retro open rewind.

I think one of the TVNT users with a YouTube channel and a capture card should try to record and upload the 43@50 half-hour special on their channel. It would seem like a good watch.
I can try to. I did set my DVR for it

I’ve thought of planting a pride flag outfront or maybe a sign for the Democratic Governor on the public area.
Also the big satellite truck based on its license plate is atleast new as they have license plates that weren’t revealed until September 2016.
Sounds like something I would do.

Meanwhile at 7 Broadcast Plaza. Mike Randall celebrates 35 years at WKBW cake was served.

Without going into a list, WKYC has largely stayed away from any social-media drivel. Instead, they're traditional mainly because it's keeping WJW from being absolute #1 in Cleveland. Hell, it was Gannett that made WKYC relevant after NBC ran it as a basement-dweller from the 70s until 2000.
I agree WKYC has kept to itself staying away from social media style newscasts. I still the miss the customized open for the 7pm newscast which honestly I watch.

You know what's sad about that? The WSAZ-produce 10pm news is better than WHCP's own attempt at news and that's astonishing that news produced by a sister station offers a better quality than the one that the station tried to attempt on.
I have that newscast on tape. I will upload it sometime I know everyone is on the edge of their seats to see it.

He'll has finally frozen over! Now which syndie show is WFMJ sending to either its CW subchannel or Nexstar?
I believe Hot Bench will move to WBCB or Nexstar27/33. Ellen will move to 3 and Dr.Pill will stay on at 4. I don't see Today's WFMJ dropping Live or Judge Judy.

Wow, amazing. A station actually *welcoming* a news veteran, and not trying to shove him out the door (rocking chair optional).... Congrats Mr. Bibb. Cleveland is lucky and fortunate to have you.
I agree when EW Scripps pushed Leon Bibb and Lee Jordan out "so called retirement". I knew Leon wouldn't set back, I know he did come back on WEWS once or twice after leaving. Cleveland TV news market is very great market when it comes to talent. We are proud to have Leon and all other others.

Dominating small markets everywhere: Gray and Raycom to merge. https://www.raycommedia.com/gray-and-raycom-to-combine-in-a-3-6-billion-transaction/#amnewsers
For once it is not Sinclair or Nexstar. This should be a easy approval once divestments owners are found. I am glad they aren't trying to ask for waivers. Once the paperwork is up we will all see what they are planning. Gary in Cleveland, Charlotte and Cincinnati talk about moving in the market rank.

Probably they'd use the Edd Kalehoff theme. That would be great!
They used the News Series 3000 open. It is refreshing to see the old "4" being used.

Meanwhile in the Youngstown market at WFMJ. Morning anchor Mike Case is leaving the station for a job in sales. I'm sure cake will be severed next week on his last day. This is 2nd on air person to leave WFMJ since January. That is all from Today's WFMJ wait wrong station slogan and name.
