  1. Woah wait a sec. I thought Chopper 7 HD just got a paint job. I had never realized that they got an entirely new chopper. Do you think it's because it can provide more coverage/breaking news having two? During a time when Chicago news choppers are fading out more and more, I'm in complete shock that they have 2!!

  2. Good for him! I wish I could move to LA lol. On a side note, does anyone know when the contract with the streetside studio ends? I feel like WBBM is wayyyyyyyy overdue for a total overhaul of everything (more reporters, news structure/presentation, and an update of that miserable set). The set makes me so irritated. That set was perfect and they just let it be destroyed. Okay, sorry, end of rant.

  3. Makes sense, ns8401. I was the same way. I was just clarifying who Sharp (being married meaning) was that's all because I knew the public would start speculating right away. I agree. It's none of my business. Cheryl Scott's page has already been flooded with nasty comments. To me, that's nobodys place or business. It has nothing to do with her job. People need to worry about them.

  4. Yeah. I couldn't believe it when I saw the cars moving by and the water swaying. It looked to sharp and real like a really good mock picture of the city to actually be live. It's pretty awesome in all honesty. I would get a rid of the curved wood part of the wall/backdrop though where the Fox 32 logo used to hang to make it look like full panel windows similar to NBC 5. However as a universal o&o, I don't know that they'd be allowed to do that.

Sorry, I don't know technical set terms haha :/

  5. I agree with that. The station really has made great strides in news delivery. It isn't dry and boring and poorly coordinated anymore. I really like the 9 p.m. newscast in all honesty. Jeff, Dawn and Bill are a good team. I think its because of how well they connect with one another and work so well (at least from what I witness watching them on air) together that attracts me to the 9 p.m. most. Unfortunately, due to work, I can't catch Darlene and Corey expect for every so often and they're a good AM team as well. However I completely agree 100% that they need more reporters (honestly about 5-7 more) and hire a few with more experience. Even if its just on a freelance basis. I think the 9 p.m. team would be completed and would be even better if they made Corey Sports Director and 9 p.m. sports anchor. I am really hoping though that they keep Jeff, Dawn and Bill at 9!! Even the weekend has improved. I think they're trying to utilize more staff as reporters which has been a small improvement. Bomke out in the field and seeing more team coverage is much better than Tisha Lewis covering it all at night. I also think she's better fitting on the weekend with Larry. I don't want to jinx how much better things are going for the sake of WFLD has a extreme tendency to constantly change everything, but props to them this time around! At least they're trying.

  6. Gotta say, WFLD news tonight at 9 p.m. was hilarious. Bill Bellis got down and started doing push-ups! If Evan Fitzgerald would work as the full-time sports anchor and they got a rid of Lou Canellis, I know some may say that's far from a perfect 9pm newscast, it would be perfect. They all are pretty funny and actually have personality.
