Lol ESPN doesn't have the updated version of France's crest. It was during halftime of the UEFA Nations League between Germany vs France.

Rad Berky from WCNC is "semi" retiring from the station. His last full day at WCNC is tomorrow, but will be back in November for election coverage.

Haven't seen this mentioned anywhere but WSOC in Charlotte got a new news director about three weeks ago. Mike Oliveira joins the station from WFXT in Boston where he was the news director during the Cox takeover. Before that he was at WPXI in Pittsburgh.
Inside sources tell me that Oliveira has been a welcome change and is bringing fresh ideas over the stagnated previous management who apparently wasn't too open to new ideas and change.
The rumor mill is that WSOC might be getting a new set in the next year to replace the BDI set that premiered in 2012.
WSOC also dropped Bill Ratner as their VO guy and replaced him with John Cramer (the guy who is the main voiceover guy on the EntertainmentStudios court shows). It's an interesting choice but having heard his voice on WSOC, it actually works well.
I always wonder who's the VO for WSOC.

It's about time that Charlotte got a Spanish network affiliate of its own. That market was long overdue for one.
You ain't kidding, now I don't have to watch Telemundo in crappy SD on DirecTV.

I just noticed those tonight down here on WVEC as well. Haven't seen them before either, but the brightness/white makes me think it could be a part of the new package too.
Same here on NBC Charlotte.

Did any stations preempt this morning's Monaco Grand Prix on NBC or yesterday's UEFA Champions League Final on FOX?
Not WCNC and WJZY in Charlotte.
