I don't know that they (I should really say we because I contributed some) were speculating more than saying what ideally could happen. Just to be clear and concise on my opinion, I think that The View will be canceled and GAA/GMA will take over that hour with Lara Spencer and another male, and maybe even 3 or 4 co-hosts. Now, I think moving The Chew to 11am and adding GAA at 1pm would be good, but we'll have to see if ABC wants to mess with The Chew with their recent ratings success. No matter what, I'm sure everyone at ABC News wants GMA expanded some how, some way, its a matter of when, not if.

I don't see ABC canceling GH yet. CBS and NBC still have soaps and if they cancel their last soap, they're probably gonna lose quite a few viewers. I think we have to wait until the next decade before we see soaps disappear completely from networks.

Looks like they are going with the serious cut for the entire headline now. The only problem now is that the serious cue doesn't transition well to the open. Also, WNT did 16 minutes of non-stop news tonight. I feel like this keeps getting longer and longer. Could be ABC trying to lure/impress viewers.

In terms of this, this is all stuff that people here contributed to. The reports themselves have a GAA/GMA type show replacing The View in The View time slot and thats it.

I don't see this happening at all. Soaps are way to expensive to operate and I think GMA/GAA has a better chance than a game show. I don't think its much of a question what would replace The View, I think its just whether The View will be canceled.

I'd also point out, that Ben Sherwood is now President of ABC TV, he would probably love to expand GMA. ABC conveniently posted an entire episode just two months ago. Check it out! http://vimeo.com/111441058 GAA wasn't funded much because it was a temporary show, I'm sure if it returns or if GMA is expanded, they will have more money to play with.

I've thought about this before, I definitely agree this would be a great idea. Michael is already a member of GMA so it would just be Kelly joining and they could just keep doing what they are doing. The only thing I wonder, maybe Kelly and Michael are the fourth hour to go against Hoda and Kathy Lee and the 3rd hour could be more like Today's Take with Lara and 2 or 3 other GMA co anchors (Ryan, Sara, Ginger and/or Amy).

I'm not sure I agree that it will be a female. I think just like they added Michael to the 7am hour, they will try to add a male for this hour. My guess is Ryan Smith. Its not really a pilot they are doing, its just practice because it hasn't been done in 3 years...
