Lockwood acquires WSKY 4 Manteo, NC for $1.1M ($1,104,944.20).

 

I'm not too sure if they are going to benefit anything with this station. Based on their schedule, it looks like they get what's leftover syndie shows the other stations didn't want or not have room for.

WOW! Highway to Heaven? Really? It aired on WJZY...in the late 80s and early 90s.

Lockwood also is acquiring WCWG channel 20, the CW affiliate in Greensboro.

WBTV reporter Sarah Batista announced on her Facebook page she is leaving to start her own film production company.

Christine Noel replaces Morgan as weekday 10:00 anchor on WCCB, to be joined by Kirk Hawkins.

Current WCCB anchor Morgan Fogarty is going to a new channel.

Starting this morning, WMC Memphis is launching a 7 AM newscast on its 5.2 Bounce TV subchannel. It will essentially be a one-hour extension of its morning show with "extra emphasis on traffic and weather". WREG previously had a 7 AM newscast on it's 3.2 subchannel but ended it some time ago. Wonder if they may start it up again with this move. WHBQ and WATN (through WLMT) also have 7 AM news hours in the Memphis market.

 

I wonder if sister station WBTV in Charlotte would be interested in doing this on 3.2 at 7 am and 10 pm when the news share agreement with WJZY/WMYT expires? It would face tough competition though from the WSOC newscasts on WAXN and also the WCCB and WJZY newscasts.
