Ch-ch-ch-changes at WAVY/WVBT...
Anita Blanton, currently the weekday 4 and 5:30 PM anchor, will be replacing Nicole Livas on the 5, 6, 10 and 11 PM newscasts alongside Tom Schaad. As was mentioned here a few months back, Livas recently left the station to join her husband in the Washington D.C. area. Blanton's replacement at 4 and 5:30 will be Laura Caso, formerly of WTLV/WJXX, whose first day is today.
Caso and current weekend evening anchor Deanna LeBlanc will be the anchors of a new 30 minute 7 PM newscast on WVBT, to premiere March 28th. This will compete with an existing 7 PM show on WGNT, produced by WTKR.
Brandi Cummings, currently a weekday reporter, will replace LeBlanc on weekend evenings, in addition to her reporting duties.

And speaking of Hampton Roads, VARTV is reporting that WTKR/WGNT anchor Laila Muhammad will be moving to Dallas to co-anchor Tribune's EyeOpener. Her last day is tomorrow, March 4th.
