I hope the other stations are doing better with them than KING. It's been a month and they still have major graphics problems. We were watching the news last night, and in a 30 minute newscast there were at least 4 significant errors. Wrong video, wrong title, title bar would disappear, and then there was the "COMING UP" all by itself hovering in the lower screen without the black bars behind it.

It's become so common that at work, we watch and count the problems.

KGW has also said they hope to have their graphics up by the end of July.

Everyone has been quiet the last few days....anyone caught any teases about switching to the new graphics tomorrow?

KENS5.com has made the change to the Gannett style website this morning.

Gannett was big on getting everyone aligned onto the "same" package last year. I doubt anyone will be keeping any other package....

Anybody figured out which station it is this week?

I am definitely one of the minority here, but I like the new graphics. I like being able to see what the story is, as I am one of those people that will have the sound turned down. Especially at work. I also like knowing the line up. I will look for the story I am waiting to see and time when I will be back to watch. The colors are a good idea, and I do agree consistency there needs to improve. KING is horrible about it. The ticker, yeah that could go. Never been a fan of those with any graphics package.

I think what it comes down to, you will never make everyone happy. I see on Facebook pages there are usually 20-100 comments after they go live with graphics packages, most are negative. A good majority of them are people that have made modifications to their TV and now the screen is zoomed - not Gannett's problem. But what you have to remember is, that is 100 people out of thousands watching. Most are indifferent, and some like them. And most of the time, you will only get those that complain to be the vocal ones.

Wasn't there some question as to whether WHAS was in HD? Based on the capture from the cable feed, that looks pretty good and HD?

Also, I like the kick drum....but...you need to have it with the right graphics up or it is kinda awkward. I thought it was awkward that WHAS didn't change the intro music, just started the intro graphics...

BTW - KUSA has the kick drum on their open.

Anybody else notice the WHAS's live web stream sounds like a record player that is running just a tad slow. Music sounds weird.

KTVB is running a tease during their newscasts about a change on July 16th as well, not sure if it's the website or the graphics yet...

WHAS 11 is next, starting tomorrow at noon. Gannett graphics and music, no word on website yet.

All of the BELO stations I have seen started using the Gannett tags on Dec 23 or 24, 2013. Day of the sale approval.

 

No I was talking about what Raymie described of Jean sweeping the old graphics in to the newer graphics.

 

I wasn't talking about that vid. I've seen previous vids at which they'd use the new Gannett design for promos. But thanks for showing me that vid. I wonder if NWCN would also get the graphics as well.
