  2. New graphics now being used in all portions of the newscast. Nothing to write home about.
  3. Skyline issue for WLBT was quickly corrected by 4pm.
  4. Nothing confirmed for WLBT, but I find it interesting that there’s a revised logo (call letters) on this promo for their new lifestyle show that debuts today at 3pm Central. Is that a sign of what’s in store? Hmmm. https://fb.watch/n0oZbT_kgr/?mibextid=v7YzmG
  5. FMBC is moving WINK-TV/FM and its other broadcast properties to a new location in Fort Myers. https://winknews.com/2023/08/03/wink-tv-buys-new-headquarters-for-18-5-million-in-gateway/?fbclid=IwAR3Yyw6O2ZTVoHxkWrLeA89O1SMpK5Be8Ej_NekLrvaQg5PNhTHpSJndUFI_aem_AaMEvmtuQXLZePPjjqtvctHajRDZI7uLCJtrqfGxDuaq1AlZXiLX22uIxa63Kek3tRk&mibextid=Zxz2cZ
  6. This set from WLBT was an interesting design. The set was designed by various teams in Jackson and was installed in 1995. A lot of the features with the images were removed from the set not long after the set debuted. The was a lot of emphasis on the locally-designed part of it, but it was a look that didn’t age well. Wednesday, June 28, 1995, The Clarion-Ledger, newspapers.com 1995 (original set as debuted) ~1996/1997 when the set was updated 1998-2002
  7. For Meridian, it looks pretty good. I’m not a fan of this package or the music, but it fits them and the community well.
  8. WTOK is using new the weather graphics of a new package; however, the old graphics are still being used everywhere else in the newscast.
  9. I’ve noticed this logo on the newsroom wall in a picture found on Facebook. I don’t recall this ever being a logo used before, so maybe there’s a lot more to come for Meridian?
  10. Looks like WTOK may be switching to this package based on the top banner update on their website and the talent backgrounds on their staff page.
  11. More sets are to be replaced in 2020. WAPT is scheduled for “studio upgrades” in June 2020. This will complete their station remodel project.
  12. Tomorrow (Wednesday) at Noon (fingers crossed) is when new graphics should debut on KFSM.
  13. As I heard it described, Tribune used “duct tape and chicken wire” and TEGNA uses “broadcast equipment” to work with. There have been a a couple of newscasts this week that have not gone on-air due to the master control upgrades.
  14. Sounds like we can expect KFSM to debut TEGNA graphics, etc. in a week or so. They’re currently installing new systems, switchers and things at channel 5.
  15. More photos:
  16. ...and the updates continue. Anchors are on the interview/sports set. Weather duratrans have been changed to match the graphics package. The main anchor backdrop looks like they might be upgrading to a video wall, but I’m not certain of that.
  17. WVUE with the WAVE package would alright with me
  18. WDAM just transitioned to complete automation and robotic cameras. That might be one of the reasons for that.
  19. Confirmed... This package debuted on WDAM at 6p.
  20. I found this on YouTube, but I can’t place it with a graphics package that a station in the group uses. Could this be a new graphics package?
  21. Looks like WDAM is getting ready to switch to new graphics.
  22. I am certain WDBD in Jackson was updated before WXIX. It’s hard to see FOX40’s newscasts since they aren’t streamed anymore. They probably switched when WLBT switched several weeks ago. WDBD’s looks like the WLOX package.
  23. Looks like WLBT will debut new graphics at 5p today, according to this post and the comments.
