Maybe Brian Williams is bitter about no longer being on NN.
What is your deal? You only seem to be critical and it’s only of NBC properties. Are you a former disgruntled employee?-

Who if anyone co-anchored with Sandra at 5 and 6 last night? It was only a half hour newscast so it's not a big deal.
Sandra is anchoring EWN @ 12:44am! solo. -
Still odd that Don filled in. Perhaps he's returning?
She filled in for Dick Brennan on 10/55 all week except Friday.-

I guess so. Perhaps either Dana is on her way out on Don is on his way back. I would guess that later is more likely because why else have have someone from CBS News fill in when pleanty of people from WCBS could have subbed instead. Who's on tonight?
Guess it was too much to ask Dana Tyler to fill in. -
The plan was always for Shirleen to get mornings. Perhaps Michele at noon and/or 5 is a possibility someday. Who anchored today so far?

Perhaps tho I can also see NBC wanting someone younger.
I think NBC does not even want to think about a replacement. Lester is highly valued at NBC, he brings stability, steadiness and respectability to the network and they will find a way to keep him at NBC as long as they can. Also Lester is universally respected by viewers so him leaving NBC would impact the brand and if goes to another network, that network will only benefit. Lester is not only popular at Nightly News but also Dateline. Dateline is the most popular newsmagazine and has grown in it's younger viewership during Lester's tenure. -
Perhaps we will soon see Amy as a official co-anchor?

Amy officially filled in for Michael? Did she also do the news?

I noticed towards the end of CBS 2 news at 5 Maurice was going solo. Any idea what may have happened to Kristine?

I'm surprised ABC even had World News Tonight on given I don't ever recall an evening newscast airing at 4:30 Eastern Time.
We’re not going to agree on this so I’m just going to walk away from the discussion. I don’t think it’s appropriate for World News Tonight to broadcast the newscast from the Red Carpet of a major entertainment show. They’ve never done the show from the Red Carpet and ABC has had the Oscars for decades now. It’s like tuning into E! News for election coverage or ESPN for a high speed chase. It’s in poor taste and I’m not looking to get my news of the day from someone standing on the Red Carpet. You are, so fine - we can disagree on that.

I don't ever recall any of the networks having the evening news air before 5 for any circumstance on any day before Sunday.

Do you all think that Lester Holt will be in the anchor chair for a long time or that NBC will want to put someone younger in?
-
That's a real possibility.
Interesting note - Steve Lacy filled in at 6:00 for Ernie.... usually this is Teresa, Alison, Kerry or Christina. I actually don’t remember Steve filling in since he and Ernie swapped. When they do these bizarre subs, it always makes me think that changes are coming.... I wonder if they are seeing how Steve does with Ernie’s style, and maybe one of the others will take his spot at 5.

They gave all her that money to leave Fox News tho they aren't so sure about Megyn otherwise she would have been given the co anchor position.
I was speaking with my mother about the article and she told me “if NBC was so sure about Megyn they would have given her the co anchor position.” Which is interesting - they’re paying her all this money and not using her fully. -
Megan Kelly needs to go for sure.
This needs to be cancelled and Megyn should be gone from NBC-

I think Joan and Charlie are still the longest morning team. I think they top Katie and the rapist.
This is an opinion I can agree with. The notion that Michael is only good at football and breathing, and fails at every aspect of this role is silly. I firmly agree that he should not appear alongside George and Robin for the first half hour or two, but he is more than capable of being on the panel and contributing when they move upstairs.Fun fact: it's hard to believe, but Robin and George have quietly become the 2nd-longest tenured anchor duo in GMA's history, only behind Charlie and Joan.

I think that's telling about the terms Ann and NBC remain on that Ann is going to CBS and not NBC to tell her story.
Ann Curry is going to be on CBS This Morning tomorrow--her first TV interview since 2015.-

We shall see if CM makes it to the end of the month.

Who anchored at noon?

I wonder if NBC will try to hire Elizabeth Vargus.

According to Bills twitter he has a brother who has some health issues. If I remember correctly Bill last did the Christmas Morning Show in 2015.

Chuck filled in for Stefan at 4 today. Never saw that before tho it makes sense since he's no longer on at 11pm. Never saw Chuck anchor tiny or at 11am and probably never will see that happen.

Another idea is to move the weekend evening team to weekday mornings and the weekend morning team to weekend evenings since they seem to like to keep teams together.

I was kidding. Yes of course you can. Seriously tho I do think Brian Williams is bitter about not having Nightly News. He's lucky he's still at MSNBC. His show does well without him.
