I would pick Option B. Sinclair has made a $500.00 grocery list full of problems and "certain things".

Here's Nexstar's 12th GM appointment since the MG deal ended.
Former WFXS Wausau GM Robert Raff has been appointed as new VP & GM of Topeka station KSNT (and its in-market sisters).

One by one the old anchors and reporters marched off to the green yard bins for composting...
I think it just got very weird and creepy after this post.

What does that have anything to do with the Out and About Section?

A company owned by the buyer and seller is in the process of buying WABG Greenwood, MS.
Would that be Cala Broadcast Partners?

What's your take on KMID's new Local 2 News logo?
Personality speaking, looks good!

I'm confused. What are the WPNT call letters supposed to mean?
The point or twenty to the point.
-
I'm hearing from friends at the station that KSNV management just announced they've been sold to Sinclair. If so... That didn't take long.
Is this an rumor by chance? Last I heard that Beverly Rogers was running the station and second, does Sinclair already own two tv stations in the las vegas market?

Oh gawd, that's just annoying like WCSH's signoff "NewsCenter" - what channel is "NewsCenter"?
"NewsCenter" is WCSH, Portland WLBZ In Bangor and also WGCI-LD

Still not going to fly. It's going to be a shell. Remember the FCC cracking down on newly formed JSA's? The concept of the crackdown was to put an end to the agreement and gave existing agreements two whole years to wind down.

Tom Wachs is leaving KCTV after six years as an weekend weather anchor for WITI in Milwaukee as an weekend meterologist.

Oh really? Are you saying there is more audio somewhere besides that one ytube clip? If so, sweet! Finding the composer behind the wtog-waka theme is proving to be almost impossible. Some thinking is that it could "possibly" be from the late Bo Donovan's Silvertree company.
Do you mean: Silvertree from the southernmedia-nmsa site?
That is the same company that handled KWCH 1993 theme.
-
Super! Was it from this youtube clip
or something else?Yes it was from YouTube and I also heard of the audio version of it.

I'm going to take out the WLOX topical from the dropbox file and replace it with this. So it will be opens, this new 30second cut, followed by the WAVY85 close. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/qaae8xleopm5u0i/LLCVKlwSfV
I found the two voiceovers from WTOG When it did the newscasts
Chris Clausen from about 00:33 to about :38 seconds for identification and Mike Lewis doing talent opens from 00:40 to about 1:00.

Sounds good to me.WFTS debuted the new Scripps website today. That could have been all it was. -
there is an actual youtube video that Raymie posted not too long ago (it is in the Classic Video pre-2000) or if you really can not find it, in youtube, you can search for ID open 1994, reminder: it runs for about 21 seconds, I think its has the opening for the 6pm news.can't wait until somebody unearths the composer behind the superly awesome 2012 WTVJ theme..... ahhh it's just a matter of time bwahaha! Who knows maybe that's Raymie's super-secret find!
In the meantime I'll be working on uncovering details over the WEAR 1994 custom theme for anyone interested. If I ever get answers, you just may see that theme come back to life in some form or another, obviously with updated material to go with the orginal works.
now to my discovery: a long time ago, I came across on a VHS tape an weather tease for WIBW-TV's 10pm report and i thought up until now, that clip was the news theme until I noticed the Various TV newscasts opens:
What I noticed from one of the Various TV newscasts opens, promos, station id's etc. part 95 was that WIBW-TV (Topeka Kansas) was using an unidentified news theme and it lasted from 14:45-15:05. I thought it was an softly played news music for the late 80's. here is the video I was viewing** (play through 14:45 and stop at 15:05)
I wish I could find out what kind of theme it is and who composed it and I can remember from a post is that the theme was composed in 1989 and I think its production music (unless it has a name/composer to go with it)
-
found another theme and this time it is from the archive: WIBW-TV had an program called "Take Five" back in the early 90's https://archive.org/details/tobacco_jmx27a00 I'm taking an suggestive guess that production music was involved at the time.WCPO with Newschannel, 1987. Can't find this in Archive but that's where it's from: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rwi_y7VJw_E
WFLA with Power News, early 90s: https://archive.org/details/tobacco_zlx27a00
KMOL in 1989 with Spirit: https://archive.org/details/tobacco_cox27a00
WHEC 1988 with PNP: https://archive.org/details/tobacco_erw27a00 (at 3:00 there's an open for another program using PNP, this tape is completely mislabeled)

Kisha is what the 4th person to leave KOKH in less then a year. Liz Dueweke left in April to anchor the morning news on the ABC station in Seattle, Mark Taylor left not long after to anchor the news at some station (I forget which) in Denver, Jamie Cerreta left in August to anchor at 3TV in Phoenix now Kisha is leaving in March to join KMBC. Seems like the
people at KOKH are dropping like flies.
either the following people who are mentioned have problems with management or their contracts are due for renewing as a condition.
-
KMBC hired Kisha Henry away from KOKH in Oklahoma City as a reporter/anchor.
http://www.mediabistro.com/tvspy/kisha-henry-headed-to-kmbc_b113014#disqus_thread
KMBC is going so young and ridding of anybody that's old or has been there for years that it's ridiculous. Slowly pushing the knife into themselves further it seems.
Kisha starts at KMBC in March as an anchor/reporter. I don't know if this person is picking up an anchor shift yet.

I personally think that it might be too soon for WTVW to get CBS. However, if WTVW did, the CW might end up on it's DT2 or .3Would it be possible if WTVW drop The CW and grab the CBS Affiliate, or is it too soon for WTVW to be a CBS station.
Remember, Nexstar is not quite interested in dt2 or dt3 channels unless there is an need for an network on the subchannels.
-
The second-shell conflicts might be the holdup here. Evansville is especially problematic as Nexstar would control every commercial station except one (WFIE). However, in that case, WEVV would be nothing more than spectrum bait otherwise as there is no news operation there.
Have the stations that have seen major investments (or dis-investments) seen ratings changes? In the case of Memphis, WATN has three strong competitors. I am sure the competitors still wish that Sinclair got WREG...[/quote/]
agreed with you, but one question: where would CBS go if WEVV decides to go dark in broadcasting terms?
