  1. What i hate about all the evening newscasts (WNT, NN, EN) is that they all feel so rushed. From the opens, to the stories, the bumpers, everything. It's like watching at 2X speed of normal. I'd wish they'd slow down and let the stories breath instead of cramming as much into 20 min as possible.

  2. How in the world do they think  this will work in markets like LA and Chicago? Like they could probably get away with this in Minot - but in their large markets this has disaster written all over it.

Perry seems to think that the cable bundle is the way of the future - not even Sinclair is that delusional.

I'm curious about what they're doing with the newsroom, and if it's going to be used for CNN This Morning. As previously mentioned, shows that has been using the newsroom are in a temporary set (I think a different corner of the AC360 studio).

I haven't liked CNN's newsroom sets in New York, both in the old Time Warner Center location and at the current Hudson Yards space. They look like boring offices with some monitors. I miss the old newsroom at CNN Center, which really felt like it was designed to be used on TV. I think part of the difference is that the New York newsrooms use robotic cameras, which really gives a different feel to the broadcast.

I’d bet money that CNN Centers days are numbered. They already sold the property to a developer. Over time they’ll probably move any remaining cnn productions to the techwood drive property. Besides CNN International’s version of CNN Newsroom what shows air anchored in Atlanta anymore?

With Canada being in the tournament for the first time since 1986, TSN has an on-location presence for the first time; usually they've done the studio segments from their main studio in Toronto (which debuted its current design during the 2015 Women's World Cup).

Judging by their preview show, TSN's graphics seem to be an evolution of what they used for 2018, but more gold, black, and navy blue (for 2018 it was more white, red, and gold).

I'm surprised Bell spent the money for them to have an on site presence.

Callsign change will go in effect on Monday (10/3). Glad to see a rare Friday launch.

But not all that thrilled that the new brand is its overall brand. My pet peeve has always been stations using "News" in their brand during non-news time periods. Using the calls WANF would've been appropriate.

I agree. I’ve never liked stations that use their “news brand” as an overall station brand (looking at you WFTS)

I'm also not really sold on the name “Atlanta news first” - to me it seems too much like their failed clear news branding from 20 years ago.
