on top the the FSN channels dish is also having a dispute with the FX and National Geographic channels

Interestingly enough WPCH is not affected by the Dish-Meredith dispute. Parents have Dish and currently still get WPCH
More disputes on the way - this time between Dish/Sling and Fox Sports Net

former WGCL meteorologist Paul Ossmann is suing the station for “racially and ethnically discriminatory termination"

Is the cut from the open to the anchors really THAT abrupt? Was there an edit in the video? I refuse to believe it cut that hard.
Here are some other opens for comparison

WGCL Chief Meteorologist Paul Ossmann out effective immediately

Given WGCL's history it's hard to say whether this is just the typical WGCL revolving door or if he did something bad.

KLAS has the new website (same name unfortunately)
KTVX and WCIA still have the old site, but have dropped the stupid nexstar names.

I'd like to nominate this mid 90s KDBC open

Megyn Kelly never belonged on morning tv. She was a cable news attack dog known for her confrontational style and opinion. She never would have been welcomed by NBC News or MSNBC viewers due to her FNC baggage. If she wanted out of the FNC toxic culture so badly she should have gone to CNN. Her style would have been better received and she could have shed the Fox News bagged like Alisyn Camerota has. Heck she probably would have been a perfect Nancy Grace replacement at HLN.

Found one just after they switched to NBC
Marcinkiewicz looks like a lost school girl in some dark Kansas City alley.

Just found this on YT. MERCY that is bad open
Looks like they were trying to carry over that edgy early 90s Fox feel to NBC, to disastrous effect
Here is their open just one year earlier for comparison

Atlanta's secondary PBS station WPBA has reacted an agreement with PBS to become a full service PBS station, allowing it to better compete against GPB's WGTV. Until now WPBA could only air 25% of PBS content.

I'd like to nominate KOMU's current open

While we're on the topic of WGCL I've noticed that they've ditched their "Local. Real. Everywhere" slogan that they debuted with new graphics last fall. It is no longer used in opens and it's not mentioned at all in promos.
I noticed this back in April, don't know if it was ditched earlier than that.

I...what?
This only makes sense if it's straight 7-10AM or the third hour is at 10AM after Kelly/Ryan. They could DOMINATE AM programming in most markets if they did that.
This feels like a Good Afternoon America revival. While there likely is a need to toss The Chew thanks to Mario Batali being a creep, this isn't the way to replace that hour of programming.
The issue is that if they expand GMA to 9am then that hurts corporate cousin "Live w/Kelly and Ryan".

Could we see CBS return to KDLH and NBC return to WISE once the deal is done ?

I love journalism, but I'm not paying for it.
I'm fine paying for it if it's reasonable. Washington Post's Amazon Prime discount makes it worth it in my opinion. But $35 a month? I can buy an online service like YouTubeTV for that amount. That is way too much.
-
Changes at Bloomberg. They are instituting a metered paywall on their website. If you want unlimited website access you must pay $35 a month!! That's more than the WSJ and NYT combined; and costs the same as some cable packages. Plus they are limiting you to only 30 minutes of free BloombergTV streaming (unless of course you pay)

Once Sinclair-Tribune goes through (if it does...), then it's Nexstar's move to swallow up some smaller fish to catch up.
It's about time the investors made them shape themselves up. Even though Tegna has passed them in terms of wackiness, It was Scripps who first self-inflicted their model of stupidity to their stations (by eschewing proven shows for cheap, inbred fare)
Of course if Gamco gets their way, sooner or later Scripps will first swallow someone else (like Meredith) only to get sucked away by Nexstar.
I have a feeling we're seeing Media General 2.0 again....
If Nexstar wants to buy another fish may I suggest Morris. Nexstar would be a HUGE improvement for those stations.

Dish is in another dispute, this time with NBC Sports Chicago (no other NBC RSN are affected at this time)
