1. Question: how come in Philadelphia they always talk about Action News having the oldest and most respected talent. However NBC10 is second and I'm pretty sure only Glenn Schwartz, Vai Sikahema, and Bill Henley have been there a long time. CBS3 has older talent like Ukee Washington, Walt Hunter, Natasha Brown, and Lesley Van Arsdall. How come they're not close to 10?
2. They're probably just going after NBC10 because they think they have no chance at beating Action News.
3. CBS3 did a story on National Have Fun at Work Day. Here's the story: http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/show/latest-video/video-3352653-national-have-fun-at-work-day/ However, I noticed this during the Video : Wow. Also, Anita Oh did a live shot tonight on Eyewitness News. Her Twitter pics say she last worked at WMAZ. The young hires continue.
4. It's not there. Maybe it's that kind of "you've got one shot to watch it series."
5. Just watched Nicole Brewer's "Good Question" segment. I don't think it was bad. Thoughts???
6. Nicole anchored with Ben Simmoneau(Now at WNYW) and Todd Quinones who left for Las Vegas earlier before Todd just started reporting and fill in anchoring and Ben left for NYC. Nicole needed a co-anchor. I don't think she's really good at solo anchoring.
7. She went to cover the election of Pope Francis and then got Pneumonia I think somehow and announced she was leaving ... However, I don't think that was the full story
8. Not necessarily. Larry Mendte screwed himself up and Marc Howard retired. Only Chris May was actually let go. Alycia Lane also screwed herself up, no matter how much she was warned.
9. Agreed. Ukee and Jessica shouldn't be anchoring all newscasts.
10. They shouldn't be looking for women in my opinion. The station is filled with them. CBS3 is lacking male talent right now, and without Ukee and Bob there anymore, it's really just becoming a giggle show. I'm not against having a woman, but I believe having a male anchor will keep seriousness in the newscast so CBS3 doesn't become WTXF or even WFSB in Hartford, CT. (Their morning team is uncontrollable)
11. Well, this was probably Brien Kennedy's idea since he came from WCCO where they have done this same segment has been done for a few years.
12. The time and temp bug needs a refresh too. That logo doesn't even match the one they use every where else
13. I noticed that. Last time they changed that, new news graphics came after that in 2010. Maybe a sign of something to come? Look for something like the Oscars for a reveal (maybe).
14. Someone on Twitter asked why they're referred to as powerhouse and she responded with this...
15. Plus, some viewers came back to watch the game.
16. I know, but what I mean is if the viewers from the game will leave it on KYW because they need news, or their just don't care to change the channel
17. The ratings are high just for the pre game show before the Eagles game. Could this translate into high ratings for the news tonight if the Eagles do well?
18. It's true; Tamsen just can't be taken seriously. WPIX is just a mess right now. I don't think anyone will be able to get it to where it was again.
19. I tweeted them and they said they've been playing games like Rock Paper Scissors and thumb wars to decide. Plus, the green screen is in the back of the set behind the cameras.
20. They also aired a piece from Global News in Canada
21. I'm starting to think WABC saw "Gotta Listen to Lonnie" from WCBS and then did this.
22. Let's also not forget, back at 6 & 11 in the early-to mid 2000's, Action News was pretty close to getting beat when Larry Mendte was at CBS3 and NBC10. Also, if Jim Gardner asked for too much money, I know ABC-Disney would let him go in a heartbeat. He really means nothing to management.
