  1. It's "ABC 10 (connect)" this time though! I see what they did there, they put parentheses around "connect", so original. IT'S NOT ANY DIFFERENT. I hate it when companies think one minor change like that makes it totally different.
  2. Nice RWBY avatar. I love that series myself.

      Ayyyyyyy thanks!
  3. Anyone heard anything about the MG-Nexstar thing recently? Haven't seen much in the past 2 to 3 months...
  4. I wonder what 'TTV's news would be like if Sinclair still owned it, or if they'd still just be getting WRTV's newscasts... But that's the sign of centralization for ya. I bet $10 Sinclair brings back News Central, no matter how much they think how dumb that was.
  5. I'm curious if anyone has some classic 90's-era clips of Sherman, TX stations. Why I ask is, ol' IndyNewsOpens will no longer be in Indy possibly by March of 2017.
  6. AT&T/Time Warner owning TV stations.... huh. Didn't AT&T have a share in LIN Broadcasting back in the day, or am I thinking wrong? Anyways, that would be interesting.
  7. Did WRTV just get new graphics for the open? I saw the 6PM open and it looked blue instead of the generic white/blue/goldish color. Forgot to grab a pic though. Or maybe it's just a election day thing.
  8. Indy Star says she's moving closer to family: http://www.indystar.com/story/news/2016/09/15/meteorologist-nicole-misencik-leaving-wthr/90404424/
  9. There's a lot on Youtube. One channel I know of in particular is this one (he has playlists of coverage from each network, NY or national): https://www.youtube.com/user/ResidentPinto/playlists
  10. Oh boy. I hope WISH and/or WNDY is divested soon, otherwise you can see WISH's ratings (if any left) go buh-bye, as well as even more staff.
  11. I don't see live streaming coming back. You know how Mr. Sook and his company is: CONTROL EVERYTHING WE TAKE OVER, by which I mean take the station bare and sloppily re-build it to Nexstar bare standards. Based on past acquisitions, I feel like that will be the case with the MG stations too.
  12. Condolences to his family, friends, and co-workers.
  13. Oh neat! Kinda wish WXIN or WTTV would do that here, considering 'TVR is also owned by Tribune.
  14. Another Indiana newsie person, I'm guessing from your username. Where abouts are you? I'm in Carmel, north of Indianapolis.

      Yes! I'm near Terre Haute.
  15. Probably not, seeing how TV stations are dropping their local news feeds (such as the upcoming dropping of HTSN from WRTV 6.2 in Indianapolis, to be replaced by Grit). People nowadays have the Internet to get their news from, and local news at some companies seems to be a joke anymore (*coughSCRIPPScough*), therefore, I really cannot see any 24-hour local news channel being successful.
  16. WISH-TV changed the background of their site. Looks so odd from when it was a dark blue. http://wishtv.com/
  17. I realized you're eastest566 on Youtube. Great vids! I may contact you sometime about any Indy-area news opens you have but not uploaded. ;)

Thanks for watching my videos. Yeah there are some that I recorded from trips to Indy that I still need to upload to YouTube. Work has been in the way lately to get them ready and posted.
  18. Deleted this earlier, but it turns out it's all MG stations: http://wishtv.com/2016/03/25/attention-dish-subscribers/ http://kron4.com/2016/03/25/attention-dish-subscribers/ http://wkrn.com/2016/03/25/attention-dish-subscribers/ And so on.
  19. Huh. I'll have to see if WRTV has done this. It looks interesting.
