Looking at the DIRECTV guide, it looks like the new graphics may debut on Monday as the guide says "19 News at [insert time here]".

KDKA just started doing this within the past couple of weeks.

Both WPXI and WTAE recently made new meteorologist hires this year. But regardless, I don't see Jeff being gone for too long. KDKA just recently hired Ray Petelin from WTAE, and it wouldn't surprise me if they name him the new chief meteorologist because he has been a favorite with viewers.

Yeah me too, and I agree. He said in a Facebook post this morning that he was told that the station is going in a "new direction".

KDKA-TV chief meteorologist Jeff Verszyla just tweeted that he was let go from the station after 23 years.

Yeah WKBN is a hot mess right now with using the Nexstar bug and ticker with their current graphics package.

Well I guess that makes sense. But I don't see why they wouldn't just use the two anchors they have for the 6 & 11 o'clock news...

Wow! I sure hope so. Like WJZ with their set, WFMJ needs to join the 21st century and launch a 5pm newscast. They even have an hour-long noon news, for crying out loud.

The station will probably post it to their YouTube channel after it airs.

I think Nydia Han said something. Jaime Apody did too. Lots of them did. She definitely deserves it, and I hope she enjoys her retirement!

Idk if its been posted on here yet or not, but Dann Cuellar just put on his Facebook page that Lisa Thomas-Laury is retiring on Wednesday.

This is a bit of a surprise! Could Mike Bush or maybe Kay Quinn be next?
