  1. I wish I did, but I don’t have Time Warner Cable in my house.
  2. You could just put your raw footage on Google Drive or Dropbox, where people could just get add your files to their own drives. People don't get money from it and it's a better solution for your case.
  3. It was just an awkward comparison to Fabio.
  4. Yes, except he doesn't have fabulous long hair.
  5. You could just put the full newscast on YouTube, as they'll let anybody upload anything. They don't even have that 10-minute limit anymore.
  6. Lots of writing related to TV news has to deal with actual stories that happened. I'm not surprised that it lacks creativity.
  7. So it's just a local tagline that they used to not bore people?
  8. That seems pathetically repetitive. Why not just open their news broadcasts with "This just in"? It's just the local news in Houston.
  9. In which it makes their stories more repetitive unless they get another one to use for a week. That is their purpose of being a news station for over 50 years.
  10. I guess they don't realize that they should've said "News Update" instead of "Breaking News". Breaking News is when a shocking turn of events happened, in which everybody wants to know what's going on.
  11. Well if they have enough money to buy another company, then they’re just okay.
  12. Well that’s financially reasonable for a struggling news network.
  13. Yeah. That’s when everyone who had Time Warner Cable already had NY1 on their packages. Especially after they had switched to digital cable.
  14. I’m not sure how long my parents had Time Warner Cable, but my father (who paid for their cable services) probably had it from the late 90s up to 2010.
  15. Man, you’re lucky. A lot of people who subscribed to Time Warner Cable started to watch NY1 in the mid-late 90s, including my parents.
  16. That as well, but it’s more rare to find if you’re used to seeing Fox 5 ads.
  17. To me, they should’ve modified the 2002 graphics and made it better for the 2013 rebrand. I personally loved the 2002 graphics because the frames looked like you were in Grand Central.
  18. Looks like they’re going through financial troubles within their station. I’m not sure if it has to do with ratings, but it could be an important reason.
  19. I noticed that as well on one of my MTA buses. Even though they usually have WNYW Fox 5 ads plastered on my local buses.
  20. The 1997 Peter Fish theme and the 2002 graphics is what I probably remember most when my family had Time Warner Cable before late October 2010. I was fascinated with how calm the music, especially when it told the local weather before going on commercial break.
  21. I guess their show would be a replacement to Good Day New York until Gene returns from his wedding leave.
  22. Yeah, it’s on Charter within upstate New York and Connecticut. Here’s a clip of the NYC Easter Parade (from NY1) in 2000.
  23. That as well. Although they still don’t bring in coverage for News12 in the entire NYC area. Especially in Queens, Staten Island, and Manhattan.
  24. I looked at News 12's website and they usually do service for only the Bronx, Brooklyn, Connecticut, Long Island, Hudson Valley, and Westchester (the latter in which they're from New York). I guess that makes sense since my grandma lives in Northwest Connecticut and she might have the channel in her Charter package.
