The Oklahoma City Thunder and Griffin Media have announced a deal to televise a package of eight Friday night games over-the-air on KSBI in Oklahoma City and KOTV-DT3 (which otherwise runs KOTV news simulcasts and rebroadcasts) in Tulsa through the end of the 2023–24 regular season, starting with a January 26 away game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

The games will also air regionally on Gray's KSCW (CW)/Wichita and KSWO-DT3 (MeTV)/Lawton–Wichita Falls and Morgan Murphy's KOAM-KFJX/Joplin (the linked story doesn't specify which station will air the games in that market, whether only on CW affiliate KFJX-DT2 or alternating between both stations' CBS, Fox and CW feeds). The team's main broadcaster, Bally Sports Oklahoma, will carry the Thunder's other remaining regionally exclusive game broadcasts during the remainder of the season.

    Thunder TV is back!!

Certain teams, including the Cleveland Guardians, want out of their deal with Bally Sports.

Basically, after this year's NBA season (if Bally still even has it locked down), you can probably stick a fork in them.

As for Cleveland (and other markets), will they go exclusively with MLB, or partner with another broadcaster.  I'd love to see them back on WUAB, especially if Gray is willing to put MLB teams in their markets.

And do the Dolans still have any irons in the pay tv dumpster fire?  Cablevision had a secondary presence in Cleveland until they sold their systems to Adelphia, and when they collapsed, Time Warner became a de-facto cable monopoly in Northeast Ohio.

They also started SportsTime Ohio after not being able to secure a deal with Fox Sports at the time, although they were later acquired by Fox Sports until the Diamond sale in the Disney/Fox merger.

    Get in line, Dolans. 🤣😂

    It's gonna be a long 2024...

Here's the new WLNY logo to be launched soon as a part of a new standardized look. Goodbye 10/55 I guess. I am a little sad they didn't retain the 'WLNY' name, since the NY is pretty self identifiable in that. I would've went with WLNY10 or WLNY55.

Or it could be that WPIX had a conflict with a Mets game.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think WABC has locally aired a MNF game since a Jets/Eagles game in December 2019.

WPIX isn't showing the Mets on Sunday so they probably thought it wasn't worth grabbing it.

This has nothing to do with ability or training, this is a cost-cutting measure, plain and simple.

Yeah. It's a Disney mandate here. They're basically cutting bait with anyone that they think isn't worth keeping around for the money they get

Here we are over a year later, and WJET is STILL using their awkward mix of the Local 12, (L3s and fullscreens), Nexstar's ABC ticker and Nexstar KOIN package (it's also being used in their weather graphics.)

They're also on a temp set because you can see the lighting glaring on the monitor behind the talent (and it's definitely the set that Nexstar ships into a market whenever they're undergoing a setup grade)

So maybe the awkwardness is coming to an end soon?  Moreso on WJET since WFXP uses the Nexstar FOX package, but with the same style open as WJET.

It's a freakshow graphic wise over there. I hope Nexstar kicks out the GM for that alone sooner or later. That's just not how you make a successful news product

Yeah...it seems as though Forum was way in over their heads here. I don't think this version of the FCC is interested in such a deal like this with plenty of conflicts in it
