One problem with this schedule is that CBS affiliates in the Central & Mountain time zones may balk at the idea of having a network show at 9AM.

They instead had to fill time by airing Judge Judy reruns with a message saying what had happened. Their noon newscast didn't start until 12:50pm.

I've wondered what would have happened if Hearst acquired the former Fisher TV stations instead of Sinclair in 2013. If that would have happened, then KLEW-TV in Lewiston, ID would have become a Hearst station.

Part of a November 1994 interview, on WDAF-TV, Ch. 4 in Kansas City, MO, with Fox chairman & CEO Rupert Murdoch about WDAF-TV's affiliation switch from NBC to Fox which happened almost 2 months earlier.

I originally posted the following on the Ion board: I wonder if, based on the programming & branding changes that have occured at KUPX, KMCC & KASW, Scripps owned independent TV station KMCI-TV, Ch. 38 in Kansas City, MO, will eventually drop it's longtime "38 the Spot" branding & start using some branding like Kansas City 38 or even KC 38?

A little bit off topic, but I wonder if, based on the programming & branding changes that have occured at KUPX, KMCC & KASW, Scripps owned independent TV station KMCI-TV, Ch. 38 in Kansas City, MO, will eventually drop it's longtime "38 the Spot" branding & start using some branding like Kansas City 38 or even KC 38?

I'n not sure if VHSgoodiesWA has seen this, but here is a video that YouTube recommended to me recently showing how KIMA made their commercial break tapes in 1991.

According to some old archived webpages, WB affiliate KWGN-TV, Ch. 2 in Denver, CO, was carrying Live with Regis & Kelly around 2001-02, however there's a chance that even they would have not carried this episode either as they usually aired the show between 9-10AM MT. The first attack happened at 6:46AM MT & was before KWGN-TV's morning newscast which, at the time, started at 7AM. I think that there is a 50/50 chance that they would have been carrying a live feed from CNN, or NYC sister station WPIX, that morning.

Video reuploaded, by the original uploader, to fix some glitches. A pre-launch test broadcast from KSCH, Ch. 58, Sacramento, CA, from April 1986. What kinds of test patterns were shown here?

The ATSC 3.0 signals of the CBS & MyNetTV (Both Gray owned.) & ABC & CW (Both Hearst owned.) in Kansas City, MO are now encrypted. The ATSC 3.0 signals of the Fox (Nexstar owned.), independent & NBC (Both Scripps owned.) & PBS (Locally owned.) are still in the clear.

A rare sign on from KOAA-TV, Ch. 5, Pueblo, CO, from 1987, featuring both the a variation of the 1979-86 & 1986-current NBC logos! Did KOAA-TV come up with the "Proud N 5/30" logo a year, or so, before NBC debuted their current logo & KOAA-TV decided to tack the current NBC logo onto their "Proud N 5/30" logo?

There was also a YouTube channel named Alton Wright that was doing the same thing, only with PBS TV stations. He hasn't uploaded anything in over a year & seems to have given up on the channel.

A behind the scenes tour of WBOC-TV, Ch. 16 in Salisbury, Maryland, circa 1960's.

Some commercial breaks from KDEB-TV (Now KOZL-TV.), Ch.27 in Springfield, MO, from the last few weeks of their ABC afilation. They switched to Fox\independent in October 1986, changed callsigns to KSFX in 2005, dropped Fox, switched to being independent & changed callsigns to KOZL-TV, in 2011 & picked up MyNetworkTV in 2014.

A 10PM news teaser open & first few minutes of a 10PM newscast from KMTV-TV, Ch. 3 in Omaha, NE, from February 4, 1986. This was about 5 months before the switched networks from NBC to CBS. I found this, recorded in Beta III speed, on a Scotch Beta Tape that I got off of eBay.

A "Reception Repair" PSA from KZKC-TV (Now KSMO-TV.), Ch. 62 in Kansas City, MO, ca. 1985.

A commercial break from then WB affiliate WBFX-TV (Now CW affilate WCWG-TV.), in Lexington/Winston-Salem/Greensboro & High Point, NC, from August 10, 2000, just 18 days before they changed their callsign to WTWB-TV. At the time, they were owned by Pappas Telecasting (Now owned by Hearst & a sister station to WXII-TV.) & had cheap, primitive graphics.

Here are a couple of clips from WNHT-TV, Ch. 21, Manchester, NH, from January 1989, during their short lived afilliation with CBS & news operation.

An odd 10 second TV station ID from KBSI-TV, Ch. 23 (Fox), Cape Gireadeau, MO, ca. 1990. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAmXxWFJ5Nk The guy running the channel that the above clip is on (That Random Oshawott) has been uploading a bunch of extremely rare stuff from the Cape Gireadeau, MO\Carbondale, IL\Paducah, KY TV market (WSIL-TV, WPSD-TV, KFVS-TV & KBSI-TV.) from the early-mid 80's-90's & later recently. EDIT: For some reason, I can't get the video to embed.
